2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup - Australia

He is back, Rohit is batting. I would assume if Rohit is injured, they can ask Hardik to lead or even Chahal, but just not KLR :Cheersmate:

Hardik looks clueless on these surfaces and I suspect teams have worked out that he's going to struggle with the back of length deliveries and won't feed him anything else. Him vs Wood is a match-up that I'm dreading
I noticed this weakness of Hardik in the T20 series against England last year. He struggled on Wood in that series. I don't know why it took so long for other teams to notice this.

Pandya is struggling on short pitch balls on his body.

I think it was in one of the IPLs where he completely stopped bowling and played as a specialist batter that he changed his stance noticeably to be deeper in the crease that started all of this. It meant that a yorker to him would be a full ball and anything short would be too easy to hit. Styris then pointed out that the best way to deal with it would be to bowl length balls (contrary to what everyone else advised) as that would technically be a bit short due to his stance which exploits his weakness. I’m sure he hasn’t really put in the work since then to improve on his backfoot game too.

And as for the captaincy debate… KL Rahul is the official vice captain of the side. If Rohit is injured he will be the captain and not Hardik or Ashwin. Not looking forward to that at all if it ever happens.

Cramping Hardik for space with pacey deliveries seems to be working here. Bowlers have started angling the ball into him thereby making it difficult for him to have a swing at it.

Pandya tends to work on docile wickets cause the pitches lack the bounce and carry. On Indian surfaces the same delivery can be dispatched easily.

His best bet would be to take a stance like Lance Klusener, stand a little outside the popping crease with a slightly larger gap in between his feet. This can allow him to rock back-n-forth if fast bowlers deliver slightly back of length deliveries.

WC resumes tomorrow. Will PAK triumph again? I'm sure they'll. Looking forward to watch how Finn Allen gets going again mighty Shaheen and Rauf!

I can sense Pak winning the cup. 92 stuff happening again.

If Pakistan wins tomorrow, it will be the greatest comeback story of all times, you know why? It is not because only luck favored them.. it was because they lost to India and Zims in a close well fought encounter and did what was asked from them, win the next 3 games. They did it and as the saying goes, fortune favors the brave. I absolutely see Pakistan winning over New Zealand and no, I am not reverse jinxing here.

Babar and Rizwan have to come good if we want to win.
Open with Haris and Babar, Rizwan at 3.

although you're talking sense but changing batting order in a crunch game like SF... na, not happening! No worries though, PAK is lifting trophy. I've been calling it before SA chocked out, BABAR for PM in 2040.. let's GO!

Sometimes you need a bold move to win. Can’t always rely on bowlers and middle order.
