I personally feel Iyer should make way for Suryakumar in the XI after Hardik returns. Iyer is just not the no. 4 batter India want.

I cannot stress this enough, Root has zero ODI centuries since June 2019. He averages 28.25 at a strike rate of 81.88 since the last World Cup.

He needed more match practice than five games per year going into this tournament.

These 2 now look at ease plus with the likes of Willey, Wood & Adil Rashid to come in, India have their work cut out. India look like taking it easy now which is not how it should be.

Was watching Wisden podcast the other day and someone said that Jason Roy had been dropped because he was one of the few players to play often enough to judge that he was out of form (despite his record being fairly consistent with his overall record). At least four players in the top seven with no long term form to suggest they warranted their place + plus Harry Brook who has done nothing of note in ODIs and Livingstone who had only played about 13 innings.

Save it now for knockouts coz not matter how it is tried ain't gonna help choking then.

This is insane and how have England got so bad? I understand they cannot play in India just like they cannot play anywhere outside England (also in England off late they are bad) but this bad??? Once I saw our seamers took 4 wickets with Kuldeep and Jadeja it was only matter of time.
