Their batsmen are following a set plan and are rarely straying away from the same. Absolutely brilliant performance here.

Looking into how things stand, it definitely was an upset. Imagine they winning that match, they would be equal with Australia on points table and only below like right now based on NRR. This Afghanistan team has proved that irrespective of formats, they can and will compete.

Afghanistan now has Netherlands next so should be a great encounter seeing Netherlands is also giving great fight and Australia, South Africa next.

I think this Afghani team can trouble the Australian side and South Africa can also lose to them.

If and that is a big IF, they win all 3, they are in top 4. Even if they win against Australia and Netherlands and lose to Africa, they still have a chance to being the 4th team. Now I really wish they would have won against Bangladesh.

Well it's a bit of a stretch to call me a fan tbh. Yeah, I was a fan back in 2016 when I threw a cricket ball to a wall in anger at 12:00 am as Bangladesh failed to get 2 of 3 against India, or when I burst into tears in 2018 when they failed to defend 34 of 2 overs in Nidahas trophy final etc. Now I'm just an observer watching it all burn and making fun about it
