That said, I feel this guy is really Tim Paine in disguise! He was the one who turned them into a bunch of good kids from the rowdy, boisterous ones they once were

Man, this Afghanistan team is scary

They look like the only team, other than India, who looks like they can chase and defend in these conditions.

I can't see them beating India but there's no reason they can't beat any other side.

If Afghanistan wins, they will have 10 points and will be 4th on the table. The onus will still be on NZ and Pak to win their last games in that case.

For Pakistan, there will be the added pressure of beating both NZ(assuming NZ wins) and Afghanistan(assuming they win today) on NRR.

Apologies, Afg are currently on 8 points. Yes they will have 10 after this but the NRR shouldn't trouble Pakistan. I don't think Afg will be in positive yet but lets see.

Afg definitely need that SA win.

Given how Aussies are playing, they might get bowled out for 150 which would boost Afghanistan's NRR.

Just based on performance alone, Afghanistan surely deserve a top 4 spot. New Zealand have lost 4 in a row, Pakistan are not a semi final team, they just are not.

Why not? If a team wins enough, has enough points and a better NRR why would they not be a semi final team?

Or do you mean they won't be any good in the semis? Because it would be utter madness fella to discount Pak in a KO scenario and even more madness to think Afghanistan would be better considering they've never been in such a situation!
