Organized by the International Cricket Council, it is one of cricket's flagship tournaments.

2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup

The 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup will be the ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup.
USA and the West Indies will host the tournament, which will run from June 1st to June 29th.

The West Indies will host their second Men's T20 World Cup, whereas the USA will host their first.
Much like the 2010 ICC World Twenty20, the final will be played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

24 teams will compete at this year's event, the most in the history of the Men's T20 World Cup.
England are the defending champions, having beat Pakistan in the final of last year's event.

Pitch Types (by @VC the slogger)

:bwl::down: Sticky - Massively in favor of bowlers and an absolute nightmare to bat on.
:left::right: Dusty - Plenty of turn on offer for spinners and a good place to bat for spin-savvy batsmen. Good pace bowlers are still likely to thrive.
:ar::up: Even - Provides an evenly balanced contest for all disciplines.
:bat::left: Flat - A batsman-friendly pitch which provides little or no assistance to bowlers. Expect big totals.
:bwl::up: Green - A lot of movement on offer early on, making it ideal for bowlers capable of swinging the ball. Batting expected to become easier as the game goes on.
:ar::left: Hard - Ideal conditions for batting. Good deal of bounce on offer for fast bowlers as well. Could go either way
:right::left: Slow - Ideal for slow and spin bowlers as the name suggests. Sometimes quite difficult to bat on.
:down: Poor - Uneven bounce and a huge amount of turn on offer for spinners. Expect a slow hard grind where most batsmen rarely score at above 6 an over.
