Discussion for Cape Cobras v Otago at Hyderabad

Watch out for:

Herschelle Gibbs will be back at his IPL team Deccan's home ground. He will be looking to make amends for his first-ball duck against Bangalore, especially against a bowling attack which looks to be lacking in firepower.

Hamish Rutherford, son of former New Zealand captain Ken, is not too well known outside his country, but was in devastating form in the State Twenty20, clobbering 220 runs at a strike-rate of 167.93. That's among the best strike-rates around over the past year.

Looking forward to seeing how Rutherford and Wagner go tonight, hopefully the speedguns set when Wagner's bowling as I really want to see what kind of pace he can work up.

Still picking Otago to win this though.

Should be a good game, I'm picking Otago and going for Otago.

Game will probably be decided on McCullum, Gibbs and JP. If any of them fire it could be game over for the other team unless they both fire in which case we will have a very entertaining game.

May be not Gibbs as he din't perform well at this venue in T20's. The only match he performed was VS Royal Challengers Banglore playing for Deccan Chargers where he hit 48. (I was there at the game. So I remember.)
SO, Gibbs can be de listed from your list.

History means little in predicting impact players. Gibbs is an impact player, if he gets going he will cause serious damage.

Otago have a nice advantage that there is next to no footage of them available for other teams to study. Very few domestic games are showen on TV here.

Really looking forward to seeing Wagner bowl.

BTW, just change the title to 4th Match, Group C: Cape Cobras v Otago at Hyderabad (AP/ India) as DECCAN is not well known to many people. Else, make it Hyderabad, Deccan. That would look fine..:)

OTAGO FOR THE WIN TONIGHT! Really looking forward to seeing this game. Hopefully Brendon McCullum can pull something special out tonight. Also keen to see Rutherford have a bit of a bash.

Otago's bowling first, good stuff.

Howsie added 8 Minutes and 56 Seconds later...

Doully's been talking Wagner up too :laugh

Its his fault if he doesn't perform. ;)

Average I'd say. Don't know what to say about his pace though, I don't really trust the speedguns over here (and when they seem to miss every thrid ball it sort of proves a point).

Dimitri's bowling well though and De Boorder took a very good catch standing up.

Gibbs again fails to fire, Mascarenhas going real well here with 2 early wickets. JP in now, huge pressure on him once again.

Was just about to write Otago can't let Duminy get going and then he goes and hits a 6 (just)
