Well done England on regaining the Ashes and doing it in such style as well. I agree with Warney and Bumble: the teams were very evenly matched, but England won those key sessions and 'moments' that really mattered. Did you guys see Warney's masterclass? Fascinating stuff. He's right: it is good to see that leg spinners are coming through. I enjoyed Warney's commentary and I hope he'll be back here for other series apart from the Ashes (makes sense: last legendary spinner, Richie Benaud ended up commentating all the time in England.)
Anyway, fair play to Australia, they fought all the way and I'm looking forwards to us doing it all over again in two years in Australia. We must make damn sure that we don't get too high in the clouds like we did after 2005, but the backroom staff don't look like they'll let that happen, neither does Strauss.
And to those Aussie member(s) here chewing on the sour grapes (apparently, Broad and Harmison are crap and Swann isn't much of a wicket taker - seemed OK to me), make them last, eh? You'll be chewing on them for at least two years, maybe we should order you some more.
Now it's on to South Africa, which will be a bloody tough series, but I reckon it'll be a good, close fought one. Trott is a magnificent find and Bell is looking better at No.3, but I'm still not too sure about him. The bowling is looking in fine shape though.
Edit: ODI/Twenty20s first of course... :o
