Except it was mental with Strauss, and purely technical with Cook. Strauss just needed a break, Cook needs to go away and change his technique.

He gets squared up everytime the ball is on middle and off/off stump. He doesn't know how to cover drive any more without nicking it to slip.

Panesar doesn't spin it anymore. He's picked up two variations. A loopy 45-mph-er that doesn't turn and an arm ball. He's forgotten how to put it on a length and spin it which is what made him dangerous in the first place.
