Wouldn't an insanely huge database of stats somehow take away from the rest of the game though? I'm not sure exactly how game production works, but I know there's only a set amount of data you can put on a disc. Stats are great, but not at the cost of gameplay features.

Well the game doesn't come with the stats but the game engine produces the stats at the end of a season and produces them in a html format. You can then choose to keep it or not. Cricket Coach itself is a relatively small program but the data it is able to produce is huge. I would love something in that way for this game....

A game like never before

----------

I would like the captains to appear when we select a team like in FIFA
:D

That would soon go into past due to new consoles launch. Both support Blu-Ray which can go upto 25 GB right.

And it's an old pic.. but ok for it's time (pre-beta)

I guarantee you, that's exactly what they're aiming for with this title...

Realisticity.

Can we discuss here whether be a pro or normal mode is best for career mode?

Nuh, but, seriously, can we have a pic of me barbequing myself beside my day one copy of BA Cricket 2014? lol

May be you can show us how the " Be a Player Mode HUD" looks like??

ROSS confirmed earlier that they are highly inspired from MLB games. So is the bowling option is something like MLB?
Eg:-
1. When the player is standing just before the run up we will select a particular ball depending on the availability.
2. When we select the ball type the player will start running. In the meantime we will have to roll our right analog stick to match the type of rolling that is needed for that perfect ball.
3. If we do it correctly and time the release good or perfect the ball will fall in our desired area.
4. If we fail during the roll of our right stick it will be a wide, beamer and so on.

Maybe you will get a better idea if you see the MLB 2k12 pitching in youtube.
