A New Gen Of Coaches AFL 2009- * Round 2*

Sorry guys for the lack of updates, I`ve got a shitload of homework for the holidays and decided to knock it off yesterday and today, i might try to do the 1st match tonight but might now be able to due to studies. Sorry :(

The poll has been removed by request. Thank you :)

Got an idea (If you can be tweaked doing it)

Since we have 8 teams, each team could play each other twice and keep an updated ladder meaning there would be 16 rounds (can shorten it if you want.)

Then at the end of the season the top four teams play off in a final series.

- Top two teams get a double chance.

EG.

1. Geelong
2. Adelaide
3. Fremantle
4. West Coast

- Week 1 (Qualifying Final) Geelong Vs Adelaide (Winner goes automatically through to the grand final.

- Week 1 (Elimination Final) Fremantle Vs West Coast (Loser eliminated from finals series, winner plays loser of 1st qualifying final, so say Cats and WCE win.)

- Week 2 (Preliminary Final) Adelaide Vs WCE (Winner plays Cats in Grand Final.)

Thoughts?

I like it. Pretty good idea, nice and neat.

one error you made stevo. Its small and you'd work it out soon enough but it would be 14 rounds not 16 as each team will play the 7 other teams twice. 7x2=14

Yeah mate, thats a good idea and i will be using it for the comp, thanks stevo. BTW, I`m doing Adelaide v Geelong just bout now :D

Welcome back to the 5th Quarter as we talk you through the Adelaide v Geelong game. Hooper`s Cats are still the benchmark of the competition, showing very promising scores against both matches they`ve played so far. And when you think of Geelong, you think about Gary Ablett. He was unstoppable and was in typical form, he had 42 posessions and 3 goals, i reckon he got the 3 Brownlow votes. Not only that, if he continues to play like this, hey, the Brownlow is within sight. But 2007 Brownlow Medalist and teammate Jimmy Bartel is not to be excluded, he got an amazing total of 43 disposals, this just proves how strong Geelong`s midfield is. But the captain, Tom Harley had a very bad day, getting 10 disposals for the whole game, he will need to improve to stay in the side. Well now to the Crows, to be honest, they were just shocking. Can you believe it, only 3 players got more that 20 disposals, including Brad Symes, who got a very solid 31 disposals. They will need to work on that aspect of the game to win against strong teams like the Cats. Adelaide Coach Roofrom50 put young Taylor Walker at Centre-Half-Forward, he might not be able to play at a key position yet , todays performance from him was less than what was expected, he struggled all day, and all he got was a measly 2 disposals. He was not the only one who was shocking from the Crows, veteran Tyson Edwards only got 7 disposals, he will need to find some more form. Well thats all from us as we say goodbye from AAMI stadium, as the Cats thrashed the Crows by 55 points. We`ll see you next time when the Tigers clash against the Demons at the MCG.

Pretty bad loss that one ey. I didn't expect much against the cats though. Good games from Symes and Shirley

Asking you guys about this. Do you guys need to know the stats for tackles and marks? Cause for the adelaide match all i did was the goalkickers, bests, and top possies. And do you guys rather me put pictures like the one for the adelaide match?

Goals, Possies and Bests is good enough.

Another victory for us Cats, as expected. :p

I think for the next round, Tenace out, Chapman in.

Welcome back to Ten`s coverage of Saturday Afternoon Football. The Demons have got their first win of their season against the Richmond Tigers. You have to say, Richmond is not an easy opponent but the Demons still managed a comfortable 25 point win against them. Now the excitement machine from the Northern Territory, 2nd-gamer Liam Jurrah, proved today what an exciting player he was. Now he didnt have a great game, with 8 touches but the 2 goals he kicked, which i might add are the first ones in the AFL for him, were from the boundary 40m out. He might be a young Daniel Motlop in the making, you just never know. Speaking of youngsters, the 2008 No.1 Draft pick had a very good game today playing on the half-forward flank. He had a solid 17 disposals for the game, he got moved to Full Forward a couple of times and wasnt that bad there. Demon Cameron Bruce had a blinder of a match, getting 41 posessions and a staggering 14 marks, very well done by the Demon star. None of the Richmond players stood out really, none of the made a big impact on the game, except for Brett Deledio, he had a good 24 posessions, 8 marks and a good goal from 50m out. There wasnt a Richmond player who kicked more than a goal. Can Richmond make the finals? It is too early to tell, but they will have to improve if they are to be there in September. Well thats it from us at Channel 10, with the Melbourne Demons getting their first win against the Tigers by a margin of 25 points. We`ll hope to see you when the Sydney Swans play the West Coast Eagles at the SCG. You dont want to miss that one, its one of the greatest rivalries in the AFL. Have a great day.

LOL! Richmond can't even beat the Demons...What a joke of a team they are.

Cam Bruce is just a gun aint he.

I always knew Richmond were rabble, I pick the worst team in the game and we still get a win.

For some reason in Footy Fanatic Cameron Bruce always racks up 40 possessions a match. Gary Ablett also averages about 45 a game, whilst Jimmy Bartel gets 40 a game, and if a goalkicker ever gets more than 6 goals they most likely have about 30 possessions as well. The stats are screwed up most of the time but it's still a good game.

Nice win though, good to see Jurrah doing solidly as well as Watts, and Frawley chipped in from the backline as well.
