the new editor shows this message failed to create status bar element not found. but then it still works.

It should work because failure to create status bar is not a fatal error. I think it was a false alarm. Should be fixed now. Download again if its bothering you.

Norton 360 seems to be detecting it as a virus.

Obviously a false alarm. It does nothing that even remotely mirrors the actions of a virus. I merely compressed the exe which must be sending Norton wild.

Strange, i got disco lights on ball when i used dxt1but solved it by dxt3. Just create backup of everything you wanna replace and compare the size of edited file to the original one. this prevents and error. Works for me

Working fine here. Try extracting the textures back. If they aren't corrupt, then you probably are saving in the wrong format.

Which version are you using? The file name "AC09 File Editor" was used in the older version.

finally the problem is solved.....the error was due to corrupt normal map of the ball
