I guess we should stop the donations/or limit them.

Incase of leagues section, we should rather stop awarding vcash to the winners. Members should participate in leagues to have fun, not to earn vcash and show off their e-penis with pride.
I won't mind if I don't receive a prize money for winning a league.

The EPL didn't and won't have prize money when it returns.

As MattW said, resetting the vCash will lead to the same situation at some point of time in future.
So, my suggestions:
-Let the vBookie continue the same for major events (the ones, which aren't one sided).
-Let the one sided events get the default odds of 1/1 (Double the money).
-Make it a rule that people participating in cricket leagues will get not more than 1m as prize money.
-Make it a point to see than Story writers are not giving away loads in the name of competition.

This is for people:
-Implement some "Advertising/Sponsorshipping" things in Leagues & PCCL (Give away some of your vCash and advertise your GFX thread/Download threads on the Tee shirts of the teams).

My 5 prong plan:

  1. Make everyone have 5,000 vCash
  2. Banks have a much lower interest rate (3% per quarter), but no cap on the amount able to be distributed
  3. Donations are restricted to 100 vCash
  4. When someone is broke give them 50 vCash
  5. No multi-bets (can't bet on more than one option)
The best post I have seen here.
I am with you Chewie. :)

This.

If you reset vCash, in not more than 5 years all will become millionaries. Multi-option bets should surely be removed. Also no prize money must be given in leagues. Also make interests weekly or per fortnight. When in 0 vCash, lets hand them 25 vCash or 50 vCash.
Anyway, lets see what happens.

The only thing that will fix it is resetting vCash and restricting donations.

If people had 50k 6 months back and now have 50 million, how will only resetting their vCash work? Surely the exact same thing will happen again and in 6 months time they'll be back up to 50 million.

All it takes is a lucky bet (like Dutch) and then a few huge donations for this inflation to happen like it is now. That's why IMO donations need to be managed somehow. Chewies ideas are good because some people are suggesting to just reset the vcash, that's not solving the problem.

I don't get the argument of a one-sided vBookie event. How can it be one-sided? If the winner is almost certain, there isn't point in putting money on anyway as you barely make any profit, and only large profits are made if you put an even LARGER sum on in the first place.

IMO, the last two times we've had ridiculous amounts of inflation at PC, both have been related to an increase in vBookie activity. The first such self-made multi-millionaire was pal, who created a plethora of NBA events and managed to make a ton of money on them.

Now, once again, the number of vBookie bets are through the roof. It's obvious to me that vBookie is the source for mass currency creation.

I wouldn't be against looking at decreasing balances by a percentage factor and then reinstating a max bet limit on vBookie.

I'd say that the VCash scams have done significant damage as well. They made a bomb and then passed it around their friends which has slowly passed through to everyone else.

That wouldn't make a difference to the plethora of cash that people have gotten from the aforementioned scams merely evenly reduce everyone money.

Time to stop things and start again in my opinion with the stricter rules that Chewie mentioned.

Btw what is the vCash scam everyone is talking about? I seem to have missed it or something.

Vbookie staff have a habit of getting very rich but no-one knows how. ;)
The reason we didn't reset it before was that the money was an important part of making PCPL different. Now there is so much that a reset probably wouldn't be a bad thing.
The same thing probably applies to rep tbh - we reset that once before - but I'd be less keen to reset that as people would start asking for rep and taking it too seriously again.

I can't remember who it was (I think it was Max Dillion) but they received a massive pay out of Vcash for no real reason. And passed it about amongst their friends before telling the admins.

And Blake, when he was being a complete tool before his banning, created a vbookie event with massive odds, betted on it and settled it winning himself billions. Not sure whether he passed it about much before he was banned though.

Yes, Reset the VCASH of all :) Reset the rep of all :)

Good idea
