Really hope so. I really need 30 social sites or such (most of which I or most other people have never heard of) under my username to show my community how involved I am to connect with citizens of the world. Ditto painful eyesore.

If someone is obligated to add them, have the main ones under usernames and the rest in profiles.

You love the word "narcissists" don't you. :P I agree, people writing on Twitter that they've had their tea is purely self-indulgence but when there are celebrities on there it is useful. How else would we have found out that Phil Hughes was dropped before the England team, or stuff like that? Useful.

If i was coaching a team I would most definitely ban twitter. Lots of college football teams have already banned it and I am sure it will follow for the professional sports here soon.

Its just a distraction and nothing productive comes out of it. (Prepares to hear about how Twitter saved the elections in Iran)

No one really used twitter to say: "Just got a coffee, about to shower" 24/7. Used to keep up to date with whats happening with celebrities and talk to friends.
