Well the way I fixed that problem, was to click the "Use BB Code Editor" button, on the top right corner. Then I copied my match into the post, before posting it.

@MattW, one question. Why aren't normal users allowed to remove a poll from a thread? Why do we have to ask staff members to do it for us?

No real reason, that's just the default. Concern would be if people were removing polls just because they didn't like the way the results were going, and people just constantly replacing them.
