They only get released earlier if you preorder the game.

LOL my story...i phone my local woolworths to see if they have BLIC 07 in stock, to my luck the lady said she has a few and ask if it is possible to collect it, and she says yes....so i go there and ask for BLIC 07 and she gives it to me, i go to my wallet to get my ?22.99 (HOW CHEAP IS THAT FOR PS2 !!!) and some asshole working there says "sorry you cant sell that to him it comes out tomorrow", she takes the game away from me and i feel like a bitch walking out the store empty handed...
....good news is my local CHOICES store said phone in at 4pm when they will get their stock....so I might have to go there in the evening !!

made my usual mistake of ordering from play, i never learn there is no way i will get my order until next week, i ordered yesterday and its just sitting there proccessing! :

very poor service, should have gone to gameplay or amazon i'd rather pay an extra pound or so to get it on day of release

Quick tip for you, if you have any small independent games shops near you they will have them and sell them. My mate got one this morning from a shop in Leicestershire, and another mate got one from a shop in Horwich (Bolton).
