The Baz-Ball Draft

Graeme Swann , a crafty & clever spinner . And fully supportive with his batting ...

Chris Cairns joins my lineup. Maybe wasn't the most Bazball batsman ever, but 1.5 sixes per Test suggests he has the potential to be used as an accelerator should it be needed. His bowling, though, is surprisingly impressive - he's the last remaining all-rounder with a strike rate of 54 or less.

@Aravind.

Mr cricket, Michael Hussey will bat at 6, he has all the strokes in the game, can play aggressively at 6 if needed, can stabilize the innings if needed.

@Supreme General again for the last time.

Thanks for the great idea & draft @ddrap14 will post my final lineup later, it was a great experience in building this legendary baz ball team.

For my last pick, it’s one of the best and batters of his generation and very well known for playing on the most toughest of sticky dog wickets.

@Aislabie your last pick

1. :aus: :bat: Matthew Hayden
2. :saf: :bat: Herschelle Gibbs
3. :aus: :bat: Ricky Ponting
4. :saf: :ar: Aubrey Faulkner
5. :aus: :ar: Andrew Symonds

8. :eng: :ar: Gilbert Jessop
9. :pak: :ar: Wasim Akram
10. :eng: :bwl: Sydney Barnes
11. :pak: :bwl: Shoaib Akhtar

I'm pretty sure @Supreme General was trying to pick Victor Trumper, so I'm going to go for Herschelle Gibbs. Although his career strike rate is pretty average, Gibbs's ability to let loose once unshackled was pretty legendary. In a Baz-minded set-up, he'd be given complete freedom to play his shots - and with a Test triple-centurion at seven and double-centurion at nine, he needn't have the slightest worry about getting out.
