TENNIS AO Tennis

The controls are pretty simple to learn, and, unlike AC, the right stick is not used. There is an alternative set using just the sticks, but I couldn't get anywhere using those, and gave up pretty quickly.

I would love to hear from someone who has mastered the double stick controls!

We certainly see tennis as a core sport for us.

I think you've called out a number of areas we want to improve, some will be soon other for the next version. Sorry not saying which just yet.

Going forward, I'd love to have things like tournament wipes be something the creation tools can handle.

I would think this is a good step forward there has been a demand for a decent tennis sim for ages and more investment and development in this would (I hope) be beneficial. Maybe other sports could follow... Could never see myself thinking of buying a lacrosse game... And, I did.

Always the nature of the beast at least we have two games and competition.... Exciting to see where we are two years from now.

Yeah the Full Ace physics is really well done and very immersive....them shoes though!

Anybody else notice the new tournament at the end of a season? I think it's similar to the atp finals, only the top players can enter.

I’ve just started a futures event in Geneva but my 1st round match was played on court 2 at Wimbledon. Anything I can do to change this?

Also, I’m noticing there are way too many net cords and tweeners.

That's weird. I am assuming its a grass court event. Try downloading a 'geneva' from the academy

I agree, but with it being that way round, I have to feel Full Ace has much more potential going forward, or at least a smoother transition into becoming an all-round top class tennis game.

Easier to make graphics and superficial details prettier, than to completely rebuild the gameplay fundamentals...

I wish this level of interaction from Mike and co. had happened during the early stages of development - then it could have shaped how certain gameplay mechanics were built from the ground up.

Now, it'll probably get layers of fixes/workarounds to the existing flawed mechanics, but to me that seems unlikely to produce a result as good as Full Ace, where it's done correctly to begin with.

Glad to be proven wrong if BA can deliver...
