TENNIS AO Tennis

The budget was small so I can only guess they pushed it out to were they thought best...

Amazon is not just a website it's life x

The $400,000 budget makes you wonder...

I'd love to know what the sales figures are across all platforms currently, I know it's not sold well on Steam. No clue how it has done on consoles.

I expect to see AO 2 announced in December/January though, if not then, likely for the following year.

In regards to Amazon, it's only relatively new to Australia to buy direct from. Previously the only way to buy from there was by using the US website.

@mikeymerren last night I downloaded some stadiums and the logos weren't showing. They were downloaded in the academy but none of were in stadium.
I've also noticed this no logos in downloaded stadiums. Also when downloading players uniforms and being duplicated where as before it gave you options whether to overwrite or stay with the one in your logo database. Also logos that have been added since 1.31 are not visible when searching for logos.

Its a pity they couldn't have got a Wimbledon licence, that would have been the pinnacle, but prohibitively expensive to obtain I would guess. AO Tennis just doesn't have that ring to it, I wonder how many non tennis fans would pick it up just as an impulse buy from that name?

Yup, same here about no logos in downloaded stadiums :(

I don't think licenses are essential for any sports game really, as long as there's enough capability to mod everything. Look at videos of TE with the ITST mod;

Player's serve/stroke anims, return stances, grunts etc are all replicated through mods and IMO produce a result better than anything in licensed tennis games. The Nadal in this mod plays/feels much more realistic than the licensed counterpart in AOIT - okay, up close there isn't an extremely detailed scanned face, but there's more individuality in the animations/playstyle than in a licensed version of him.

I've tried and tried and tried again to reach out to Ross Symons to continue the work Big Ant started in AO International Tennis with the small number of licensed players they have in the game, I've tried my hardest to explain how much better it is using the licensed players when they have their full Player ID in the game and how it makes the game feel more authentic but they don't seem to have any interest in going back and finishing the good work they started on the licensed players, I find it so frustrating to say the least.

I really enjoy using the players who have their full Player ID (Serve, Receive, Groundstroke Style & Voice) but Big Ant have not bothered doing this with most of the licensed players, considering there's "only 20" licensed players in the game I feel there's no excuse for not getting this right, otherwise you end up with licensed players that just feel like Academy/created players as they don't have their correct unique player animations, so what's the point of paying out for them to be in AOIT in the first place if you don't use the licensed players to their full potential?

I think they will end up moving on from AOIT and leaving this part of the game only half finished which annoys me so much considering the effort they've put into other parts of the game that I personally have no interest in.

We get it now thanks.

Yeah, fair enough, I'll hold my hands up and admit I've probably gone on to much about this particular subject already, but, it's only because I care and I just get frustrated with it all.

Don't worry Dutch I get the message loud & clear I'm wasting my breath with Big Ant and your all fed up with the subject, it's ok I won't mention it anymore, may as well talk to a brick wall instead as I'd get a similar response anyway:(

It’s more a case of you have stated your position, and Big Ant have explained why they cannot afford the amount of extra licences and associated animations, sounds etc you would ideally like, meaning there is nowhere left for this conversation to go....

Ok, like I said I hear you all loud & clear, I'll keep my fingers crossed something changes, but, I'll move on now:wave

Just out of interest how many licenced players were there in Top spin 4... ?[DOUBLEPOST=1529925493][/DOUBLEPOST]
