Well as a matter of fact , it is . Pakistan , as we all know is not getting to host because of security reasons . But among the other top 8 nations , only NZL and SL remain . You can't beat the taste of the home crowd cheering you all the way in a final , can you ??

I think sri lanka got it wrong with their bowlers. Muralia looked a bit of a passenger, mendis was in form so who cares about the past, he's a wicket taker too so without murali at his best they needed something like that. Randiv just shouldn't have been there, full stop.

274 was competitive and massive credit must be given to jayawardena, was a worth world cup winning innings, but you still feel given the start they had and the time it took them to accelerate at the end, sri lanka could have got more and you needed to punish the indian bowlers a bit more. yuvraj's figures in particular flatter him.

still though, focus on dhoni, he was magnificent.

I really feel for you man (seriously) . First lost a World cup final in 2007 , followed by runners up in t20 WC 2009 and now here in Mumbai . At times , the almighty can be really harsh .
