Yes Intel's Core 2 Duo's were born to over clock, thats why they are so popular. I am now running mine E6750 (default 2.66Ghz) at 3.2Ghz with an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro keeping its idle temps at 15-20c. The cpu's must almost be freezing, under full load i see temps go up to 30-35. I could push this cpu up as far as 3.6Ghz i reckon maybe further going by the temps, but as yet no game requires that extra power.

The maximum advised temp for these cpu's is 60-65c. So i have degrees to play with.

Everyone knows that :p but not everyone is as free as gas :p

Joking lol.

Btw gas & omkar, did you notice my E2140 thread ? Have a look!
I may be getting one of these in april when i get my newer pc.

I'm just spreading the love. Straight love. ;)

Gas, whats the room temperature there when you live ? I think it does matter, coz here its normally 30C degrees+ and i want to know how much can this cooler cool.

I'm planning to use it on a E2140 for insane overclocking. How about it?

Our room is very hot, we have a lot of electrical appliances in here. Our chiller generates loads of heat, we have the windows wide open even in winter because its that hot in here. Saying that though, it does help overclocking if your room is cooler. I also used some thermal ceramique from arctic silver which i applied to the base of the arctic freezer, and my cpu. This also helps keep temps down a little extra.
