All i can say on this subject is that i am yet to hear any evidence that andrew symonds was RACIALLY ABUSED. Monkey Chants are NOT racist, i dont care what skin colour u are. Calling someone a monkey is not racist. What most people on this forum dont even see is that by saying that calling a person with african origin a monkey is racist is infcat racist in itself. This was all just overexaggerated by the media and now has just lost any sense. I Still dont understand how calling someone a monkey , or making monkey impersenations is racist? Unless u are a monkey. Is Symonds a Monkey?

Do u choose your ability? You wouldnt choose to bad would you? Your reflexes, hard eye co ordination and concentration are all natural. In what way is this different from racism?

Maybe ability was a bad word, but say taking the **** out of a bad running call, or playing and missing.

It wasn't bloody racist abuse, it sure was some sort of abuse, however minor it may have been, but jesus. The indians who were doing it were exactly the same skin colour as him.. isn't that proof it couldn't be racial? It is such a load of rubbish, it happens all the time - someone gets abused who happens to be black and all of a sudden its racist.

You have no idea of the history behind it.

Shaun Wright-Phillips and other black England players received monkey chants (actually chimpanzee but that shows the thickness of racists) in Spain in the back end of 2004, where they abused because they look like monkeys or because they are black?

I hope you can answer that. Also, being the same skin colour (although they weren't) makes no difference whatsoever to whether you can be racist or not.

It may be different in different countries by the way a lot of the Saffa's and the Asian members on here have spoken on this issue.

In England, Monkey chants are extremely racist. They're probably the most offensive thing you can ever do/say to a black person over in this country. Which is why people like me, SS, and other Brits that have spoken on the issue have blown it up as racist, that's because over here, in the culture that we've grown up in, it's very racist, so I can't see it from the other point of view. It's been instilled into me for 17 years that this is racist and this is the one thing I should never do, besides the obvious'.
