Jason Gillespie, just months after being axed from the Australian side has hit form again claiming 5 wickets against the Victorian Bushrangers. Gillespie picked up some very key wickets for the redbacks claiming David Hussey, Graham Rummans, Cameron White, Mick Lewis and Debuton Richie Roberts.
The Bushrangers put in a huge effort with Jon Moss getting off to a flyer and Roberts showing good support. Had Victorias s lower order held togther a little better the Bushrangers would have came a lot closer to the redbacks total.

Richie got a real working over by Tait and Gillespie when he arrived at the crease, taking nermerous body blows. However the young man kept his composure and fought through to lunch. After lunch he hit is groove scoring numerous boundaries and reaching a well deserved half century. He did last to much longer as Jason Gillespie put a but swinging yorker through him to know over his off stump. All in all a good first innings from the Rookie.
South Australian captain Darren Lehamann has scored a heroic certury in the Redbacks second innings to go with his magnificent double century in the first innings. His innings consisted of 6 fours and 6 sixes as he stamped his quality on the game. The Redbacks have declared half an hour into the last mornings play leaving the Bushrangers a near impossible 390 runs to win with just under a full days play remaning. There was a heated exchange late in the day yesterday between former Australian spearhead Jason Gillespie and Victorian rookie Richie Roberts.
Roberts was not happy with Darren Lehmann calling for a runner claiming to have cramps, when Gillespie came out to run for Lehmann, Roberts could be heard on the stumps Mic s saying " you only need a runner cause your a lazy ####!!!!, run your arse around the pitch a few more times it wont kill you!!" To which Gillespie replied " go back to grade cricket you ####ing no hoper!!!"
Umpires then had a word to both players and reported the incident.
