With the recent failure of the Australian Cricket team in the Twenty20 World Cup, The CEO of Cricket Australia, James Sutherland has hired young T20 fanatic Biggy to Coach a developmental and T20 Specialist squad.

James Sutherland:
My main aim is to sift out the players who aren't taking it seriously and make Australia more of a force in International T20 Cricket.

Their first taste of competition will be a friendly against New Zealand in Auckland, followed by the English Invitational hosted in England. It will be a 5 way T20 competition between the English Lions, Scotland, Ireland, Bangladesh, and of course, Aus T20S.

James Sutherland: Welcome to the official Aus T20S Squad Announcement press conference. Biggy will announce the squad and then take any questions from the media.

Biggy: The 15 man squad for the one off New Zealand match and English Invitational is as follows.

[28] Matthew Hayden (c)
[10] George Bailey (vc)
[77] Lee Carseldine
[78] Ben Edmondson
[29] Daniel Harris
[02] Shane Harwood
[07] Brad Hodge
[08] David Hussey
[01] Jason Krejza
[20] Shaun Marsh
[26] Dirk Nannes
[35] Nathan Rimmington
[34] Luke Ronchi (+)
[32] Shaun Tait
[04] Adam Voges

Any questions?

Why is it that you've seleted Matty Hayden in a very young squad?

Biggy: I really wanted that one experienced head in the squad who had seen and done it all. When Hayden was dropped from the Test side it came as a complete shock to me when he was excluded from the One Day side as well. I thought all he wanted, and needed was a license to hit and after watching his form in the IPL this year I'm only impressed even more. It was really a toss up between Symonds and Haydos, but Roy's recent antics and attitude lent us towards Hayden.

Do you have any concerns over the well-being or fitness of Tait?

Biggy: Of course, fitness is a main priority with all of our players. Shaun's had his troubles in recent times with injury but we think he is well worth any risk, if he's up to the job himself. He's got pure pace, and in Twenty20 there's no substitute.

An Interesting squad you have there, the pick I am most interested in is that of Dirk Nannes, do you have any problem with his dual nationality, a lot is made out of the English picking up the Irish Players do you think the same could be said aout you picking Dirk? Did you give Dirk a choice in playing for Australia or did you just pick him?

Biggy: Well Nannes was a last minute pick for exactly the reasons you just brought up. He has been arguably Australia's best T20 bowler over the last few seasons and his recent participation in the T20 WC for the Netherlands made it hard on us. Sure, we confronted Dirk on his possible inclusion in the side and he said that whilst he was immensely proud to have represented the Dutch, it was his dream to play International Cricket for Australia one day. With this side not of International status, just an Australian representative team Dirk has given us his full commitment in the hopes of playing for Australia.

Don't you think Dave Warner deserved a face in your Young Squad?

Biggy:
Warner was definitely discussed. We felt he didn't have alot of consistency in his game and tends to throw away his innings more often than not. Also with Hayden, Marsh then Harris who has been performing so well in the Big Bash there simply wasn't room for him.

That will be all, thank you.
