Australia tour of India 2023 (3 ODI & 5 T20i) Sep 22 - Dec 03

Just based on his injury and current form that he has shown none, I would be in favor of dropping Shreyas Iyer. We cannot have a Vijay Shankar esque scenario this World Cup. Iyer no matter how good he is, is only the 2 weak link in the squad along with SKY.

Iyer dropped for MSD?
Why not Tendulkar?

If India loses this after the start they had, it will be terrible, shameful, disgusting, unacceptable. They should be relegated to Division 2 of English County Cup

Considering the English County Cup doesn't exist, that's a very serious punishment

SKY scored fifty... he can score a hundred easily in T20i, but fifties in ODI feels a rare thing...

Playing Stoinis in ODI's should be a war crime :abuse:

Another day of KL saving the day for India in ODIs.

@wasteyouryouth must be proud.

Credit to Ashwin, he’s looked better in his second spell.

Rahul’s also done decently with his bowling choices so far despite the lack of flexibility. The fielding hasn’t really helped him today either.

His own wicket keeping was horrible. I just will never understand franchises/teams obsession with Shardul.

We made this mistake in 2019 and I think we will start with making the same combo mistake again.

Rohit
Gill
Kohli
Rahul
Kishan (WK)
Hardik
Jadeja
Kuldeep
Bumrah
Shami
Siraj

No other XI. We have got to look to take wickets every ball. We are very lucky we have Jadeja and Hardik who can both take wickets but the captain and management need to tell Jadeja to bowl slower and not look to bowl economy driven stats protecting spells.

Most importantly- a wicket taking bowler at 8 will have 1/2 bad game out of 10 but give you 10 overs almost every time. How many runs will he give you at 8 and how many times? 1? 2? The answer most likely is that if you need 8 to get you runs, it will in all probability be in a losing cause!!

Shami as a ODI bowler is so underrated.

Man has outstanding numbers as a ODI bowler, in 92 innings he picked up 170 wickets at average of around 25 which is among tier in all of international bowlers in the world.

And yet India Don't consider him in the play XI. why? Because Shardul can bat they say:lol.

And its a WC year and Just like Starc Shami had two outstanding WC in 2015 2nd highest wicket taker and in 2019 despite playing 4 matches he picked up 14 wickets including a hat-trick and a fifer.

We all talked about how India lost the plot in 2019 WC by batting poorly but also have to remember how they dropped Shami for a half fit Bhuvi who struggled in the death and middle overs to pick wickets.
