Nice start mate, good little chat there. Northern Districts have a heaps strong squad, I agree with Jaz that they might win this. Great stuff mate, kiu!
Australia in New Zealand Northern Districts vs Australia Warm up Match
Positive and fast flowing start (Young Aussie bowlers under the pump early!!)
With the Australian side not having a older more experience bowler in their team, they had to turn to Peter Siddle and Ben Hilfenhaus to take the new ball against Rahul Dravid and Luke Ronchi.
It was very in-experienced bowling attack against this awsome team from different players from different teams, as it was going to be a huge task for the bowlers to bowl well. And with the Field being restricted for the first 10 overs, and then the next 5 overs being restricted as well, as the bowling team need to take a bowling Power play, it was fast free flowing runs for the Districts early.
Peter Siddle was given the new ball as he was making his One Day International Debut for the Aussies this afternoon, so he'll be nervous, but will need to settle down and bowl really well with the new ball, because this pitch is a wonderful looking pitch at the moment, and it looks to be a pitch where they can score a lot of runs from. Up against one of the best batsmen in the world, in your debut isn't something you'd want either. So he needs to calm the nerves down and just bowl like he does.
Peter Siddles makes his One Day Debut
Ben Hilfenhaus has shared the ball with Siddle bowling from the other end. With a little more experience in this Australian side, they will be looking for Hilfenhaus to bowl really well. He has been in some good form for the Aussies over the last couple of weeks, but this is up against one of the best batting line-ups in the game, so he will want to do himself/his nation proud, and bowl really well to his standard. Like i said, it's going to be difficult for him to produce as the field is only allowed 2 fieldsmen outside the inner circle.
Ben Hilfenhaus shares the new ball
But as everyone expected, it was going to be a hard job for the young Australian bowlers to take out this batting line-up. Rahul Dravid and Luke Ronchi, an Australian himself, made every oppourtunity of the field being restricted, as they have raced to a daring total at the end of the 10 over mark. When have you seen a total so big, being 0/84 at the end of just 10 overs? That is a once in a life time seeing here. Dravid has played exceptionally well, as he reached his half century already, and is looking to go on and make a huge total here this afternoon. It is going to be a tight hard match for the Aussies, but i guess it is just a warm up match, before they go on and take on the Kiwi's a little later on this month.
Lol actually i think it's the size of the pictures i take while playing the game. And then cropping them down to fit a 600*400 photoshop screen makes them look blocky. Nothing is wrong with my graphics card
Australia in New Zealand Northern Districts vs Australia Warm up Match
Australia are in deep deep trouble (Siddle makes the breakthrough)
Australia in the first 20 overs or so of this match have absolutely been hammered. Nothing can discribe this on slaught by the Northern Districts team, which have embarrased the country of Australia this afternoon.
Many and many boundaries have been hit by this opening partnership of Ronchi and Dravid, which has taken the total to nearly 200, after just 20 overs. Rahul Dravid and Luke Ronchi have troubled the bowlers, and are building a huge partnership which doesn't look like being broken with this in-experienced bowling attack.
Ponting has tried many bowlers throughout the 20 overs, all bowlers including Hopes and Noffke who even those 2, with their slower bowling, cannot break this partnership. Boundaries still fell, as the Northern District teams total soared beyond 150. No singles or hardly any 2's have come from this innings so far, as both payers have made the boundary, as this ground is a very very tiny ground, so i expect the same result from the Australian's when they come out to bat.
And also the pitch is a batsmen paradise, as it is clean and firm.
The on slaught continues.
Both players were eager to take the strike, and now the Aussie selectors will be fuming they didn't suggest Luke Ronchi for this tour against New Zealand as he is playing a blinder for the opposition today. Therefor, Ronchi goes on to make a well earned half century, joining Dravid in the department, and will be looking to go on and earn more runs and more respect from the Australian selectors, so they will pick him in the next tour. It has been a innings of boundaries for him, which have been of high quality. Most shots have sounded perfect out of the middle of the bat, and it hasn't been bad bowling from the Australia bowlers either, the foot work and smart thinking from both batsmen have been a treat to watch.
Ronchi aknowledges the crowd on his half century, and even the Australian supporters and players, clap as that was a dominant and entertaining display of runs from the young kid.
Ronchi gets respect from the crowd after a 50
Thing were just looking dead for the Aussies. Nothing was happening, both batsmen are in fine form, and aren't looking to be getting out. How bad the Australian's have been, their only chance of getting a wicket in the first 20 overs, was a LBW decision, that wasn't even close, and when you look at the replay, you wonder why the Aussies even went up and appealed for it. It was missing the stumps by many cenemetres.
20 overs have ended, which means the restricted fields can be taken out, so the Australians can have many more fieldsmen on the fence now and outside of the inner circle, which is something they have been waiting for.
The Districts side have used the first 20 overs very well, scoring as much as possible as they can, so they can just build their total up from when the field spreads.
With the field spread now, Ponting changed a bowling attack, and put Peter Siddle back on, and put the field on the fence.
And in the first of Siddles second spell, Ronchi was on strike. Saw a oppourtunity as a short ball was delievered by Siddle and went after it, trying to smash it over the fielders head down the ground. Ronchi didn't get enough purchase on the ball, as it landed straight into Adam Voges hands.
It was a memorable wicket for Australia for 2 reasons, it was Siddles first International wicket, and it was Voges first catch in a ODI match.
Peter Siddles get his first ODI wicket
Northern Districts: 1/179 (22 overs) R. Dravid: 104* (73)
M. Jayawardne: 0* (1)
OMG!!! Dravid 104 of just 73 balls is he playing in IPL?? Ronchi also played a great cameo I can see ND passing 400 at this rate .. Nice to see Siddle get a wicket.
Pretty good stuff, decent enough graphics, well presented. Not strictly an ODi wicket though tbh, as it's a tour game, so doesn't count as an ODi, as last time I checked, Northern Districts aren't an International Team, but apart from that, and the odd spelling mistake it's all good stuff. KUTGW.

Through the wicket, things don't stop their for the District (But Australia bowling much better, with more fierce)
Even though the wicket of Luke Ronchi was a killer for the Northern Districts, and such a important one for the Aussies, Jayawardene was the next batsmen that came to the crease, and through his first over facing, he took off where Ronchi left. Just the 3rd ball he faced, was smashed back of the bowlers head and beats the fieldsmen as he struck it so well for a huge 6. They seem to just be playing with this Aussie bowling attack at the moment, when the Aussies are missing all their gun bowlers in Brett Lee, Stuart Clark, Mitchell Johnson and Nathan Bracken.
Both Jayawardene and more so, Rahul Dravid kept the runs scoring, no matter who Ponting threw at them at the bowling end. Ben Hilfenhaus was thrown back into the attack just to make out the overs, as his first 2 overs he bowled earlier in the day he went for 12 runs per over.
Also, Doug Bollinger was bought back into the attack, as Ponting wanted a left hander trying to trouble the new batsmen at the crease, with him angling the ball over the wicket, to try and snatch a edge of to pick out a fieldsmen. That's what Bracken does perfectly for the Aussies, but it's not him out their this afternoon.
P. Jayawardene comes out with all guns blazing
If Australia aren't careful, this total could blaze away through the 400's as they have reached into the 250's by the 30th over. And with Dravid not looking to stop, he could be reaching around a 150-200 total by himself, if they aren't careful, and if Dravid keeps playing like he has been.
But in saying that, i don't know what it was, maybe a lack of concerntration, or it was some good bowling from Doug Bollinger, but he picked out a beautiful ball which Dravid had a strike at. Like the wicket of Ronchi, he didn't get that purchase he wanted to, to beat the fielder and run away for 4, instead the ball held in the air a little longer, and Noffke got back into the right position, and took a easy catch, which ended the 138 run knock by Rahul Dravid, who has set up this innings for the Northern Districts.
A superb innings come to an end, and now Australia have taken 2 wickets for 256.
Well done to Doug Bollinger that took his first One Day wicket along with Peter Siddle earlier.
A superb innings come to an end for Dravid, as Bollinger gets first wicket
Northern Districts: 2/256 (30 overs) M. Jayawardene: 36*(17)
J. Kallis: 6* (5)
R. Dravid: c. A. Noffke b. D. Bollinger - 138 (100)
L. Ronchi: c. A. Voges b. P. Siddle - 68 (58)
Northern districts are like a World ODI team in this match so I'm not surprised. Aussies should lose this easily tbh. Nice work mate, awesome writing and good gfx and they will get better with time kiu!
