Summary: With so many good batsmen to come the Aussies have control of the game. It seems India's decision to drop a batsmen for a bowler has backfired completely with Harbijhan Singh leaving the field nursing a suspect broken finger...

CLARKE DEPARTS FUMING

Micheal Clarke has recieved an absolute shocker of a decision to give India a renewed chance. Clarke tried to drive a leg cutter which was clearly missing off stump. The ball somehow hit him on the pad which was followed by a less then hopeful appeal. To the Indian's amazment the finger went up. When the wicket was showed on the big screen replay the crowd was sent into a franzy of anger and many abusive comments were directed towards the umpire. Even the normaly calm Michael Hussey seemed angry at the decision...

Yeah, That ball was cutting away from Clarke and hit him on the outside of the knee roll. Which looks to be about 5 cm's away from off stump :mad

HUSSEY MAKES 50

Mr Cricket has again performed well. Hussey has been playing his usual moderate and wise game which has worked for him for the whole of his career. With Symonds looking strong at the other end and with Katich and Gilchrist to come, India are on shaky ground...

HUSSEY DEPARTS

Michael Hussey has joined a growing number who have made it past 50 then got out just before 100. Hussey tried to hit a wide ball over the covers but completely toed it straight to Laxman at cover. It was a good innings from Hussey but the Aussies needed him to carry on with it to a century...

SYMONDS BOWLED

Andrew Symonds has put pressure on the selectors to select him for the next match with a good fighting innings. Symonds for the first time in test cricket looked confident and steady which reflected his solid score. Khan was the man to pick up the wicket. He bowled a lovely off cutter which found the gap between Symonds bat and pad...

AUSSIES ALL OUT

The Australians have reached 10/310 in their first innings. Good performances from Hussey and Hayden as well as some solid innings from Langer and Symonds allowed the Aussies to push past the 300 mark. They now have to bowl India out for around 250 quickly which would set them up idealy for a 2-0 lead in the series...

SEHWAG REACHES 50

Virender Sehwag has regained his form from the 1st innings in Perth to reach a half century. Sehwag was his usual agressive self, playing strokes to all corners of the ground. He has been lucky, with multiple edges going through the slips. He now needs to concentrate and go for the century
