This incident occured during the Presentation Ceremony and slowly this issue is heating up in India.Australian team showed no manners at all during that ceremony and they pushed back Sharad Pawar the BCCI President.See the following pics which were found by ZexyZahid:-

Look how Ponting is asking for the trophy and then Damein Martyn pushing Sharad Pawar.

If there is any punishment for this, than I will begin to doubt the way my favourite sport is run. It was just harmless messing about, Ricky Ponting wanted the trophy right away (who wouldn't)!

He's standing on the stage when it should be for Australia to celebrate on.

Typical from the BCCI, thinking that cricket is all about them.

By the way, what stopped you posting this in the correct forum?

This is a gentleman's game.It requires some character. They r not from jungles millions of people watched it live. They should have waited for him to leave the stage or they should asked him to leave. But they pushed him back.

It wasn't a forceful push. It's not as if they wanted him to fall flat on his face.

Have u watched it live?I bet if he was from England then your tone would be different.

i will like to watch that live .....coz yesterday i didn't see that on TV and also not seen TV today ...but surely it will be in newspapers tomorrow ...but that was not good by the aussies according to me ....coz they whould had just asked Mr. Sharad Pawar to just step aside instead of pushing him.....i agree that they have won Champions Trophy for the 1st time but should have waited for him to leave the stage

Yes, I saw it live.

If he was from England then I doubt my tone would be different. Most people here wouldn't even know who our chairman is! We would probably laugh about it rather than stirring up rubbish.

From those pictures, that looks my like a tap on the back to get his attention, the got it he turned around hence it looks like a push. But maybe it's different with the video.

Sharad Pawar needs attention? Australians can't even wait for him to leave after he handed the trophy to Ponting.

Get his attention so that he leaves the stage. Aussies wanted to take some pictures of their team, not Australia plus Sharad Pawar. Thats what usually happens, the guy handing out the trophy moves out of the way so that the photographers can get that money shot.
