Australian Domestic Cricket

The guys trying for the number 6 spot both failed with the bats today. Good match for Mash and Jewell chalks up another 100. Noffke played a handy knock for Queensland. Krejza actually has been economical for once, maybe all those T20 matches has got him sorted. Also got the wicket of Hughes.

I think Hughes is winning the "Bat-Off" - No innuendo there - with him making 151 and Jaques making 9.

Brett Dorey just took his sixth for 28 against Queensland. :O It's also good to see Crosthwaite playing for Victoria in the Shield.

With form, you'd have to go for Hughes. Whether the selectors choose form or experience, will be an interesting one.

Hughes scores 151, Katich hammers 143 with 6 sixes and it looks like Thornley is going to score a ton. Surprise, surprise Thornley performs once more when the pressure is off and the hard yards have been done. Take a bow skip.

Absolutely dominating, which is good. Intentions of declaring should be as soon as Rohrer hits that century. Jaques will be very disappointed.

Rohrer still has 50 runs until his ton. Good to see him and Thornley hitting some sixes and fours though.

Katich surely has to be in contention for a one day place, 143 off 150 balls, with 6 sixes and was a important part in our late day assault of 190 runs in the final session.

Feelin Blue? added 0 Minutes and 31 Seconds later...

Oh, we have declared on 4/521.

Who needs Symonds attack when you have Katich doing this! Would even be tempted to play Katich in the 6 spot which should allow him to bowl more overs seeing thats what our number 6 seems to do these days. Jaques and Hughes to open up.

Also Bird has been reported for chucking :( Real big shame for him as he was making a real impact in the shorter forms of the game.

Yeah, he was reported for that a few years ago and it's a real shame to see it happening again. He is probably in the form of his life so really disappointing. :(

Would love to see that opening combo, but Jaques really has to perform, don't think selectors have any intentions of having both those openers there.

Decent reply from Tigers.

Sad but true just thinking what could be.
McKay is in good form 2 wickets against SA, the inform FRC opener and the leading FC performer. Hauritz is certainly pushing his name for the tour, Tassie are in all sorts after NSW made this pitch look flat.
Harris also put his name up for selection, Noffke was alright with the bat but didn't get the wickets to push his case.

No it isn't. He's a useless player. Everybody involved with CV can't believe how much smoke has been blown up his arse. He's also an arrogant prick who thinks his **** smells like chanel no. 5

Hauritz you ripper!!! Never leave us again!!!

Bollinger looks to be slowly getting back to his old self, I'm surprised Cameron hasn't taken a wicket though.

IF mckay and nannes dont go to sth africa the selectors need to be deported. they have been outstanding for 2 years now unlike hilfenhaus.

a siddle - nannes opening the bowling with mj and mckay with whitey at number 6

Is it hard living in Queensland and barracking so strongly for Victoria? Do you have to over-compensate and exaggerate your views to get people to listen?
