If he's willing to be aggressive, it could be a big difference, especially in a low scoring game. However, it's one thing to play freely when you're 200 in front and facing a weak attack, another thing to do it from a tough situation.

An inform Hussey is an asset to the team but if he goes back to 0,0 in the 1st Ashes test then I'm going to be pissed. And if that is the case the selectors better have the balls to drop him. Quite funny how North declared just after he had made 20 runs, guess he knew that would be a 100 anyway ;)

^Hah that's what I was thinking :D Getting to 20 is the only challenge Marcus has, the rest is easy.

And as for Hussey's aggressiveness, I'd love to see him bat lower at #6 so he can bat with the tail more. That would let him milk more singles and play a more ODI type innings which is where he's playing the best at present.

And Hussey has a better chance of getting a not out! :D

I'm really pleased to see Johnson back in form as well. He's critical to the team and has that ability to win matches and take wickets when he's on. Hopefully his 5fer gives him enough confidence to do the same to the English.

It's his 2nd game for WA actually. He played their last Shield game too v SA a couple of weeks back. Not as successful though...he got a duck and 3/120

He's still got a big job to do today. Would be great to see him finish the Vics off here and get 10 for the match.

WA complete the upset, for once the Test stars actually made a difference. Probably more a case of the NSW Test stars never making an impact. Well done to WA, batted and bowled very well led by Johnson. Another solid performance by Beer, WA will be happy with grabbing him off Victoria. Quite strange how Mitch Marsh bowling is now his strong suit, he can't buy a run atm.

Now we got an SA born player :) Nice to see so many youngsters in the Queensland batting lineup. I actually thought Lynn was another late 20s to 30 year old player from Queensland but I see hes only 20 and starting to get some runs on the board.

Philipson & Hopes are the senior batsmen now, can see queensland's batting lineup struggling against victoria's pace attack even with a few players out injured...

Only just found out that Nick Kruger made the move down to Tasmania, he's playing for Tasmania in the future leagues match this week. Could make his way into the shield side if he preforms, with Cazzulino out with a broken hand and Wells not firing at first class level.

Doesn't say much for QLD when their best player in 20 years old. Although he has the hairline of a 40 year old.

Nannes certainly starting to put his case forward for a World Cup spot. Only bowler in the match to be going at under 3 an over. Finch could be a bolter too.

Pretty much figured this would happen, hopefully O'Keefe is back in the side sooner rather than later. Could take either Hauritz or Henriques spot as he does both their main jobs better than them. Henriques is more of in the bowling all rounder mode these days.
