Australian Domestic Cricket

Yeah it's unfortunate that while hauritz is playing for NSW O'Keefe Isn't he's very talented. Can't see O'Keefe being picked instead of Henriques either seeing as that would be three spinners also Henriques should be fit to bowl again by now.

Victorian Sheffield Shield team to play QLD:

Rob Quiney
Michael Hill
Aaron Finch
David Hussey
Cameron White
Matthew Wade
Alexander Keath
Clint McKay
Damien Wright
Mark Cleary
Jon Holland
Will Sheridan

Alex Keath to make shield debut, they were obviously impressed with his 192 in the future league match. Also interesting to see how Cleary goes :)

Well NSW homeground is known for spin so picking a 3rd spinner isn't out of the question especially when you are desperate to try and fit all 3 in.

Now I think about it there's a good chance NSW will go into the Ryobi Cup match with three spinners, it's either that or have four seamer's which you'd think they wouldn't need and it would mean a longer tail. Just stick smith in the middle order and use him only if necessary, and just rely on Hauritz & O'Keefe as the spinners.

Also Copeland could easily be left out of this shield match again seeing as Cameron seems to be in favor lately.

Hughes
Warner
Maddinson
Forrest
S Smith
Henriques/O'Keefe
Nevill
Hauritz
Lee
Clark (c)
Bollinger
12th Man: Cameron

That's how I reckon they will line up. Wouldn't surprise me if Copeland is left out but that would be even more harsh than the last time they did it.

Edit: Oh yea forgot to add Bollinger will be leaving the match halfway through so that he'll be ready for the 2nd Test. So the selectors excuse for him being underdone and needing to play Shield cricket to boost it sounds a bit stupid now.

With Siddle bowling this well now & once Bollinger proves hit fitness in this FC fixture. The idea of playing 4 quicks looks even better now.

Nannes certainly starting to put his case forward for a World Cup spot. Only bowler in the match to be going at under 3 an over. Finch could be a bolter too.

As you already know my friend. IMO he should have always been in contention. Definately over McKay.

This is the second match that Tasmania has chosen to be a batsmen short by leaving out Birt, so they can have another bowling all-rounder seams silly to me. they must feel they can't take 20 wickets without the extra bowler

Copeland should move states. He's too good not to make the XI in domestic cricket.

Why wouldn't we play Birt instead of Wells, who hasn't done great at all so far?

Not sure that Wells is the problem even though he isn't scoring many runs, Cazzulino will take his spot once he's fit again, Maybe we need to try out Kruger until he's fit. The problem for me is that we went into this match with five bowlers along with Brady Jones batting at nine. They should of left out one of the bowlers and had Birt at six, without him we wouldn't of beaten Victoria. It's just a shame Paine got injured because we wouldn't of had this problem he would of batted at six and we could have the five bowlers.

Oh well, bowlers already causing problems. I guess we can't complain about the lack of batsmen until we lsoe due to it ;)

Oh loving O'Keefe and Smith more runs for both and their stocks are fast rising. Nice return by Lee that will definitely catch the eye of the selectors and looks like a very good knock by Marsh.

Wow, Faulkner got 5/5 and his second five-wicket haul of the season. SA, what happened?:lol

Nice to see Faulkner in the runs, I was one that was part of the hype back in the day when he came onto the scene. Looks like he is a bowling all rounder which will be handy if he does make the step up.
Not what Ferguson needed to push his claim.

Was Lee bowling @ 90 mph for anyone who managed to watch that game?

Wow, South Australia are really that bad aren't they. Getting only 55 runs against our second string pace attack.
