Australian Domestic Cricket

Is ten Doeschate actually playing?? Thats a pretty good effort, he was still playing over here for Canterbury just yesterday.

omfg mick lewis playing for western australia. did not see that coming.
Rodney Hogg and Damien Fleming talked about him on Inside Cricket, mentioned that he was bowling fast and worth a look. Mickey Arthur gave him a practice run this week in which he nearly put Tom Beaton out of the tournament and it was decided he could fill a role as a specialist death bowler.

Yeah, but still, bloody hell.

I always thought Mahmood was a dodgy signing, based on what hes done with England in the past.

Well, we won comfortably in the end thanks to some great bowling by the spinners and the two Internationals. Bit strange how Ten Doeschate only bowled the 1 over.

You gotta love Rana despite the shocking mullet!

Mick Lewis. Wtf :p Didn't really believe it when I saw that line-up. Thought it'd be some unknown young'un from WA.

Besides conceding a bit too much you'd say that's a pretty good performance for someone that hasn't played professionally for what, 2 or 3 years ?

He bowled half a dozen bad ones, but they wouldn't have been in the game at all without those wickets and I guess at that point, they only needed one more. If they had been able to prevent that big Paine/Birt partnership, it might have been a closer contest.

I was at the ground and when Birt came out, i said to my mate, this is the last good partnership, and it was :( pretty poor by WA but 190 is going to be a tough total to chase, from what I've seen 160-170 should be a close game at the WACA

If only he could bat like that in a one dayer.

Though tbh it was fairly dirty legside slogging. He got hit a lot.

Well yea. Odly he has never been able to translate his domestic hitting style onto the international stage. I remember having a discussion with aussie1st about that couple months back.
