Australian Domestic Cricket

Deadset don't tell me Rimmington is another fella that performs only against us.
This hasn't been Haze's best innings, quite expensive by his standards.

----------

12 overs to get 75, should open with Patterson.

Congrats to Haze second 4 fer in a row after going 16 innings without one.

Nah not Hazlewood's best.. second to the first innings :p

What a bastard Rimmington was. Average of 15 and highest score of 42 in a one dayer, racks up 102 with WA up the creek :facepalm Yeah, congrats though :clap

Batted 11 when he made that 42.

----------

looks like the win is in the bag, but it would be funnier to see them lose 6 wickets for 8

Thank christ for that. Was holding my breath at the end of the last couple of overs as it passed 7pm. Finally a win on the board at the halfway point of the season.

Do the umpires allow the extra 30 mins of play if a result can be achieved btw?

KP such a class act. Look forward to seeing more of him and hopefully he can get a go in the other formats.

Don't know what happened in that regard all I know is at the innings change they had 14 overs to chase this total.

Ah I missed the 14 overs thing, made it a little more tense for me when I wasn't sure we'd even get the 12th.

Just working out what my best XI's for each of the BBL teams will be, excluding injuries that I know of and almost certain international duties.

What I've realised is that before the season starts, teams still have to stock up on back up players. With injuries and national duties I was barely able to make a team with some of the players. Does anybody know when final squads will be announced?

Also a few of the teams look a bit ordinary and short on batting. The two Melbourne teams would be clear favourites. Sydney Thunder are capable of anything if Gayle and Warner get going.

Very little stopping McCullum and Vettori playing for Brisbane.

Will they be playing the full tournament? Or only a couple of games in between the NZ domestic season?

If those two play then my line up would be

McCullum wk
Hayden
Hopes
Forrest
Lynn
Christian
Broad
Cutting
Neser
Swan
Vettori

Futures league T20 going on at the moment. Some interesting players involved. Brad Hogg is playing for WA, Lee Carsledine and Bryce McGain playing for South Australia.

As the BBL teams are franchises and separate from the states, is it right that these older experienced players are getting experience playing in the 2nd XI for the states? Taking the spot of a young fella who needs exposure to a higher level than grade cricket?

I'm not necessarily saying it is wrong, just posing the question to you all.
