It's amazing how many players are currently missing due to national duties and injury. 17 on the tour to India, 12 on the Aus A tour and there's many domestic players missing at the moment.

Anybody know why Marcus North and Dan Christian haven't been playing? No Travis Birt either?

At least it's giving opportunities to other guys and hopefully helping to unearth some talent. Jordan Silk has done well, Michael Hill has come of age, Fawad Ahmed has been great and even Dominic Michael looked the goods in his Ryobi debut.

I think Christian was missing due to disciplinary reasons, North form maybe and Birt was over participating in the BPL.

^Christian was definitely out for discipline troubles.

And Fawad Ahmed could be the #1 spinner for Aus as soon as he gets his passport. Plenty of praise for him already, and he's bowled a lot at the Aussie team in the nets so they know him pretty well. He's on the fast track.
