Henriques just needed to crack that first hundred, now he's got 3. Could be the same for Faulkner too. Another guy that just needed to crack the mark was Hazlewood, finally got a 5 fer.

Steve Smith's batting transformation continues to amaze me. Good stuff..

Great to see Smith going so well. Was a class above when he returned for NSW and that's exactly what you want from a Test player.

The Redbacks and Tigers have announced their 2014/15 squads in the past couple days.

A few interesting delistings including Benny Laughlin and Peter George. I'd rate Laughlin as one of the better short-form bowlers in Australia and George has always been as consistent as a dripping tap. Also interesting I guess is seeing Boof's son getting a rookie contract with SA

Matador BBQs One Day Cup.....What a name :lol

Josh Hazelwood with 7 wickets. Why aren't Tasmania competing in this competition?

Excellent bowling by Hazelwood. He has long been on the fringes of selection for Australia. If he keeps that bowling up he might soon see himself being called up for Australia in the shorter forms of the game and then possibly Test matches as well.

Nic Maddison also made a explosive 83, so that is good to hear. He is a very talented batsman with lots of potential.

Tasmania are in the competition mate. They just don't play until a couple of games later on.

Oh right, it's just that I looked at the points table on Cricinfo and they weren't on there.

Mind you only seen Joel Paris a couple of times, but so far I like what I'm seeing a lot.

It was a good win by Tasmania on Wednesday against Victoria and they claimed a bonus point. We were in trouble batting first collapsing to 5-75 before Jon Wells and Evan Gulbis put on a 129 run partnership. Jon Wells went onto make 110 not out in entertaining fashion. Sam Rainbird then took 5-29 in 8.2 overs to take away any realistic hope that Victoria had of winning. Rainbird has been bowling very well recently, which is important with the absences of other more experienced fast bowlers like Ben Hilfenhaus, Jackson Bird and James Faulkner.

Nevil starting to settle nicely into his role as opener. Carters showing he is a handy finisher, could do with a promotion to tick some runs over and get his name back in the selectors radar.
