Good game last night. Japan was all over us in the 2nd half and we did well to get a draw. Both teams missed header opportunities. We are almost into the World Cup! just need to win 2/3 of our last home games and we should be in for sure.

Good stuff to get a draw. It was gusty but still good. Japan were all over us all game really, not sure why Cahill was being played up front by himself. I really think Cahill should have played CM and Kennedy striker, then when we were on the attack Cahill could have pushed up. Oh well a draw is a brilliant result but I'm not ready to say we have 1 foot on the plane.

Holman was shocking and if it wasn't for Holman, having two DMs and an awfully defensive coach I think we might of won, still im ecstatic getting a draw away.

I think we needed 2 DM's. We needed those 2 to sit behind our midfield and protect the backline. But we should have been more attacking with our Central mids. Like I said Cahill in CM would have been great as it would have made us more attacking whilst still having the 6 players on defense.

That's rubbish, you never need 2 DMs. Pim Varbeek has been very lucky through out the world cup campaign. Getting wins against Bahrain where they dominated us, his excuse was that strikers weren't holding the ball, well it didn't improve much against Japan. Varbeek said every match that we played bad blah blah but Guus Hiddink with only 3 months in the job and he fixed all that, which just shows his class. Varbeek has had 12 months.

1 DM for Endo and 1 DM for Nakamura Your right though, we haven't been great in the qualifiers. 4-2-3-1 is a great formation is you have a quality striker. It worked for Liverpool with Torres up front.

lol yeh, 2-0 win or 2-1 me thinks. We haven't been very exciting these qualifiers, let alone away from home and I don't expect that to change with just a point required so a 1-0 might be on the cards.

Qatar have had two friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Iraq which they won 2-1 and 1-0 respectively. So, who knows?

1-0 over Iraq is quite a good result so there in form.

Iraq isn't as good as they were in 07. I just think Australia will be too strong physically.
