LH, Asian teams are hugely underrated.

I wasn't underrating them. You just have to look at our Asian Cup campagin in 2007 and we took the Asian teams fairly lightly, we only just got out of the group stage.

I don't care what style of football we play to get to the World Cup as long as we qualify, and we did!

Maybe with your previous coach. Look up Brazil vs Australia on youtube, a WC 06 match.

And how good we did against Italy, before being robbed in the last kick of the game.

I'm just saying, we competed with the eventual winners and we got unlucky.

I don't think Australia are much better than they were in 2006 - but they still have massive potential to do some damage in the world cup.

I can't wait for 2010. Not only because I'll be going to many of the games ( WC FINAL! ), but because many international teams have gotten worse, and many have gotten better. The teams are a lot more even than 2006 and 2002.

I think the team has got worse. Verbeek has taken the team backwards.

Not a good start. We haven't kept the ball enough and Japan are doing it easy. Our defence has looked solid and organised though. Williams looks to be the weak link despite not playing to bad. He just looked a littler nervous towards the end of the first half and his attack wasn't that good.

I've said something similar earlier and so has CDM... We can't play 4-2-3-1 with Kennedy. If we are gonna do that we need a 4-1-4-1 or something. It's just not working. The only way we will score is from set pieces or a cross atm.

lol FB, we need another striker with him for Kennedy. Needs to be 4-4-2. Oh well we won!

No, not necessarily. With Cahill coming just behind him Kennedy on one side and Strovjeski (no idea on the spelling) just a bit behind him we are dangerous. Just look at how much better we were in attack in the second half when Timmy was coming right off Kennedy's hip.

Sydney seemed to have turned the corner in their pre-season. Hope they can continue it when it matters though.
