Australian Premier League XIII

Best effort? That was a way below par score, great win for Callum, looking forward to next season and hopefully we can also convert (2nd) last to first

All I've done so far is come second twice in the NZPL :facepalm

Fun fact: Kumar Sangakkara topped the catches list with 33, next closest was AB de Villiers with just 17!

I don't think I'll pick up any awards, it was a team effort, and none of my players were really amazing.

You might not even be drafting in the first round, the people who released the most players will get first choice of the free agents.

Geelong Gladiators Season Review

Michael Clarke - 7/10
Disappointing batting return on his first season. As a captain he took it up a level, leading the Gladiators to the final hurdle.

Ryan ten Doeschate - 10/10
Had a season like none other, the main reason behind Geelong's great mid season run. Was the second highest run scorer in the competition (by 1 run!) as well as taking 15 wickets with a miserly economy rate of 4.2

JP Duminy - 7/10
Came into the team for the last four games, putting the selectors to shame.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul - 8/10
Was for season reason dropped, after a second awesome season.

David Hussey - 8/10
The most improved player. Averaged the most and scored consistently. Leaked runs with the ball

Michael Klinger - 8/10
Was promoted to to open but with limited success. Injury cruelled his season and he'll be wanting to return to the lofty peaks of season I.

Matthew Wade - 5/10
Played a role down the order, but couldn't live up to expectation. Keeping was as good as ever.

Alex Keath - 5/10
The young all rounder showed good signs in his first season in the APL. Unable to take a wicket but impressed many with his game.

Ed Cowan - 4/10
After being one of the best during the local FC season he couldn't repay the team that recruited him. Went without a fifty and struck the ball at just 67.

Dale Steyn - 7/10
Had a good wicket taking season, conceding just 4.7 runs an over but averaged over 30 and looked tired in his second season.

Shoaib Akthar - 3/10
After carving up the first season he was beyond crap. Economical but only took 8 wickets at 55, after opening the bowling.

Peter Siddle - 6/10
Unfortunately expensive, which limited his overs per game. Did his job until being dropped.

Cameron Boyce - 9/10
The revelation of the season. Took 21 wickets at 29.7 and conceded just 4.8 runs per over. One for the future at 20 years old.

Trent Copeland - 7/10
Showed very good signs late in the season, taking regular wickets and stifling batsmen as first change.
