Tom Moody's Perth Panthers have been picked as the early favourites to win Australian Premier League III.
In a study of seven of the closest cricketing followers from around the world, Perth were the only team to feature in all seven of their top sixes.
Despite finishing a low ninth last season, the MS Dhoni led Panthers have done some good recruiting and now feature the likes of Umar Akmal, Chris Gayle, Michael Hussey and Kyle Mills.
Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra all look in good shape for a top six finish, while Adelaide and Brisbane seem like real outsiders.

Tom Moody's Perth Panthers have been picked as the early favourites to win Australian Premier League III.
In a study of seven of the closest cricketing followers from around the world, Perth were the only team to feature in all seven of their top sixes.
Despite finishing a low ninth last season, the MS Dhoni led Panthers have done some good recruiting and now feature the likes of Umar Akmal, Chris Gayle, Michael Hussey and Kyle Mills.
Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra all look in good shape for a top six finish, while Adelaide and Brisbane seem like real outsiders.

Shane Warne has been stripped of his captaincy by Hobart Heroes manager Covvy in what has seemed to be a personal battle between Warne and the club.
It all happened when in the round 2 clash with Darwin when Warne won the toss and elected to bowl on an excellent pitch. This ending in the Dukes getting off to a brilliant start and the Heroes were behind all day.
Sachin Tendulkar wil more than likely take over as captain of the Heroes and no further actions are to be taken against Warne.

Superb stuff from the bowlers. Murali did a fair bit of job there, and the rest supported him well. Mills was the expensive one, but the rest were upto mark. McGain was clinical, and I am exceptionally pleased with Cleary. Alot is expected from him this season, and so far he is doing a satisfactory job.
The batsmen were cautious and despite an ordinary start from the openers, Voges and Dhoni were upto mark. It was a tough test for the batsmen on a difficult track but Voges assured knock was important in our success in this game.
Good to see us being rated highly. Puts pressure on us but it is clear that if we dont make the semis, Moody might get the sack this season.
