Well you can't really say Mason is better than Holland. Holland has played International cricket at least. Maybe his APL stats don't show that he's better but still.
IRL Cook is no where near the ODI squad.
Trescothick is good, but he's no wear near a great.
He's only 34, so if he was a great he'd still be playing for England.
Do you know what on paper mean?
It means my team appears to be stronger than yours.
Openers
Matthew Hayden and Shane Watson are a mile ahead of Alastair Cook and Marcus Trescothick. Hayden would be slightly ahead of Trescothick, but Watson in ODI's would be so far ahead of Cook.
Sanga=dillaMiddle Order
Kumar Sangakkara, Paul Collingwood and Cameron White are pretty far ahead of Suresh Raina, Callum Ferguson and Tillakaratne Dilshan. Sanga and Dilshan are about equal, Colly is easily better than Raina, and White is slightly better than Ferguson.
Lower Order
Aaron O'Brien and Jim Allenby would be about equal with Steven Smith and Cameron Borgas. Smith would be the best out of these four players, and I have no idea who Borgas is.
Bowlers
Jerome Taylor = Brett Lee
Kemar Roach > Clint McKay
Shaun Tait > Josh Hazlewood
Matt Mason > Jon Holland
You may have the edge of about two players, there are about two players who are equal, while the remaining seven I hold the edge.
Of course this is all my opinion, and I have very little idea on how Biggy has rated the players.
Well you can't really say Mason is better than Holland. Holland has played International cricket at least. Maybe his APL stats don't show that he's better but still.
"Ferguson>White(by a mile)"
"Brett Lee>>>>>>>>>>Taylor(Taylor is not that good, surely not better than lee)"
"McKay>>>>>>>>>>Roach(Roach have just better speed, nmothing else is better than McKay)"
"Jon Holland=Matt Mason(Can't compare those two, but IMO they are equal)"
Lol, you've got to be kidding me.
The reason why White's better is, he's the one who's not injured.
Ferguson's injured in RL like you said, hence ATM White's better.
Lee is surely better than Taylor is what all I can say IMO.Maybe I'll say there're equal.
For some reason no one cares when Lee's injured, but when I say Bond's one of the greatest bowlers of this decade everyone says he's been injured too much.
If they were to play tomorrow I'd take Taylor easily, as Lee's coming off a massive injury and has no form or recent match time.
Is all I can really go is have a laugh, which I'm going to do. :laugh
A fully fit Lee is on eof the best bowler in the world.Just what I said above about Lee and Taylor.
A fully fit Lee would be slightly better, but since he's been out and is not back at his best, I'd have to say they are pretty much the same.
McKay is surely better.Point taken on Roach - McKay, I'd still rate Roach better, but that's fair enough if you want to rate McKay better.
A fully fit Ferguson and a fully fit White would be almost the same
I agree, I'd say that he was stronger on paper, but as I said before, It was GCC's day so my team won. That's all.@Callum: It annoys me how you always do these analysis' and then say your team is so much better and you don't know how you could lose, then you drop little hints that it is the way I rate them. I think you are forgetting a bit of common sense though. Gold Coast beat you in one match, whether you are better on paper or not, your team just didn't perform better on the day. Do you think because Bangladesh or Zimbabwe beat Australia they were better on paper? Not at all, they just performed better in that one match. If you just added up all their ratings then awarded the better rated team the win that would be pretty lame, right?
