Spell of the Season - Shane Watson (SS - Round 11) - Only the second 5-wicket haul of the season and it was such an important spell. Sydney went on to win their fifth straight match to scrape into the finals.
Knock of the Season - Ryan ten Doeschate (GG - Preliminary final) - What a century by the dutchman, and what a time to do it.
Batsman of the Season - Tillakaratne Dilshan (GCC) - 8 half centuries and over 700 runs, at the same time as keeping wicket and captaining (half the time).
Bowler of the Season - Andrew Flintoff (HH) - The leading wicket taker (including finals and the all-stars game) with 26, but he didn't play finals. Many of his competitors played 2 to 4 matches more than him. He consistently took 2 or 3 wickets a game.
All-rounder of the Season - Jacques Kallis (AR) - Many contenders but I think he just stands ahead of the pack. Averaged over 50 with the bat and took 10 wickets with a very good economy rate for a team that struggled. He carried Adelaide at times.
Rising Star - James Pattinson (DD) - What can I say, he was just on fire, taking 25 wickets for the season. He had a bit of a rough patch mid-season but got it all together to put in a great performance in the All-stars match.
Manager of the Season - Covvy (HH) - Gazza was a close second, but I think Covvy deserved it. It's easy to be up beat when your team is winning but Hobart has been through some difficult times and Covvy is always positive and trying to better himself.
