What a gun this guy is, 3/24 off 10 overs although was wasted at the start as he only started to come and bowl most of his overs in the last 20 overs. Jimmy Anderson was excellent again with 3/40 while Kallis and Katich were both economical and Hauritz took a tidy 1/39 from 10 overs with the big wicket of Ian Bell.

Looking at the batting, that 69 run unbeaten 6th wicket partnership between Maddinson and Lockyear ended up proving the difference. White was looking very good but unfortunately got run out.

Only going to make one change to my side.

Andrew Strauss in for Martin Guptill. And Kallis will move down below Lockyear.

It's always gay when one of your players (Shakib) leaves his worst performance of the season to a crucial must win match, without his useless spell we would have won.

My batsmen played really well again, but also once again they were let down by my bowlers. That's just another score we should have defended, which we didn't.

Anyway, we probably weren't in the top two teams overall throughout the season, as we were too inconsistent.

That under 23 player also cost me quite a lot. I probably should have picked up a better one earlier on in the draft, as I could only pick up some garbage later on, none of whom were up to APL standard.

tbh I thought Perth were no chance before they started the chase and most of the way through it. This over did it for them though..
