Australian Premier League XIII

His last post was on the 24th Nov 2011, so he might've just been checking in when he last came on like a week ago, and might not come on again for a while. (If you didn't already see that)

My last exam's on Tuesday, so maybe just wait until then. :p

Okay thanks, yeah looks like he isn't very active.

Nice to see the ol' Darwin logo again. First ever team I managed in a league on PC. I'm amazed you let a newbie like me take part back then :p

Lol, no problem. Would you like Darwin back? I'm trying to keep things consistent by keeping the same teams and their nick names.

I've also had a lot more interest than expected. I had planned 12 teams but because of all the interest and the fact that I don't know how many seasons I'll be doing I'm tempted to blow it wide open for a massive season and add more. The only problem is the talent spread, I really enjoy it but for those not familiar with Australian Cricket it makes them feel like they have a ---- team and annoys them.

That's the same thing that I had to decide with my upcoming NZPL season, because like you I don't know how many seasons I'll be doing, so I was thinking of expanding it to 10 teams, but then although I can handle it in terms of the players since we have over 100 players contracted in real life, there's only two New Zealanders actually active here other than myself, and I don't really think anyone else follows New Zealand domestic cricket that much, so like you say with your last sentence.

Personally I'd love the challenge... finding less established overseas players, and promising Aussie players. It's brilliant fun. The more teams the better for me.

I'm happy to have them back. But if you're unsure about how many seasons you're planning to run then I'm also happy to let someone else have a go.

Right said, many managers who've shown interest here don't even know a bit about Australian cricket. They just signup for fun and at the end of the day their teams end up at the bottom of the table.

Been a follower of Australian cricket for about a year or so was looking forward to an Australian league that would really be worth taking part until Author started the Elite Cricket League which I followed and enjoyed a lot how he managed it was exceptional. Would be a great experience if I get a chance here. :thumbs

Well, I know alot about Australian domestic cricket and follow it regularly so I shouldn't have a problem picking the right players. This is one reason I declared my interest here apart from this being such a successful league.

Don't worry mate, It was for the newbies and inexperienced managers out there.

Damn I am really nervous as to will I get a team since there is too much competition. My OPL and two Champions league research will come handy here I guess

Perhaps, Biggy should make a rule that a manager should've won at least one nation based league to be a part of the Australian Premier League(apart from the managers who previously managed in the league). This way we'll have a less amount of managers hence the problem will be solved.

That's unfair IMO.

I like how everyone is selling themselves here.

If so, I have won Big Bash as Perth Scorchers, which is Australian. :p
