Okay, I don't know what anyone else thinks, but I'd be completely in favour of a monster league. There are enough players to easily fill 16 teams, and I think there's one easy way around the problem of managers feeling hard done by.

For the first two rounds of local picks, you stick to an ordered draft, something that goes:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16
16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

That way, nobody could say they hadn't got a fair crack of the whip. Just a thought.

If so, I have won Big Bash as Perth Scorchers, which is Australian.

I've been associated with the first ever audition of this competition (when it was a story and it won Story of the Month), came second once. But later, pulled out after that due to personal commitments and when I came out free, this was off.

I was just trying to teach Ahmed Shah that winning isn't everything.

I agree with you. If 14 or 16 teams take part every manager will get a chance to manage a team or co-manage with someone. Using that order will also give everyone a fair chance to get some good locals players.

I reckon 14 teams max, that's still a lot. 16 just seems like a couple too much, considering that the local list has 179 players on it, and some of them are absolute randoms to me like Corey Barsby, Scott Henry, Sam Raphael, Jordan Silk, etc.

Biggy uses 11 local players per team, and with 16 teams that makes 176 locals, so with 16 teams at the end we won't even be able to choose what type of player we want, and the last few rounds will just end up being bench warmers.

Yeah 16 would be fine if there were more players but there just isn't enough, so I'm gonna go with 14.

So I've finalised 14 teams and the managers, so that means another 14 who applied will miss out. Don't read anything into it if you missed out, there are a lot of you I wish I could give a team but I'm all about loyalty so those who were previously involved get first shot. I encourage everyone though if they want to, to take up a co-manager, even if you don't use their input much it just means there is someone there to take over in case you leave for a bit or permanently.
