Australian Premier League XIII

Looking forward to this Biggy, can't wait to see how we perform?

Any chance of there being a few friendlies? Or are we just hopping straight into the developmental rounds.

The developmental rounds are friendlies... You can now post line-ups @ the social group.

1. Graeme Smith (c)
2. Chris Rogers
3. Kevin Pietersen
4. Brad Haddin (+)
5. Luke Pomersbach
6. Jacob Oram ^
7. James Hopes ^
8. Stuart Broad ^
9. Ben Cutting ^
10. Ben Hilfenhaus ^
11. Doug Bollinger ^

Pretty weak in the batting, if Smith and Pietersen fail your F'ed.
Oram was terrible for us last season, so batting him at six is probably a mistake.
You do however have pretty good bowling.

Posted my team. Went with Katich and Warner and had to drop Gambhir for Dravid. Playing Ojha here instead of Harbhajan. Looking forward to this.

Pretty weak batting? We will murder your rabble.

Only resting my six best player's for our first friendly, so I'm expecting us to get wasted.
I just want to see how some Aussie domestic dudes go.

APL 2 Best XI
1.Brendon McCullum: The Heroes new major signing for the season. However, the New Zealand national keeper will not be keeping, instead focus on batting and trying to find form in a dismal APL career so far
2.Tim Paine: Tasmanian young gun will be having the gloves yet again this season for his home town side. He had success opening last season and will be looking to form a great new partnership with McCullum
3.Sachin Tendulkar: AKA God, will be batting in a new spot this year trying to add depth to the top order instead of batting at his usual no.4. He was also a big revalation last year with his bowling, and will be looking to become more than just a handy bowler.
4.Steven Cazzulino: The youngster from NSW who carved up grade cricket last season, averaging over 70 runs. He's been just awarded a contract with the Tigers and has got a huge call up into the Heroes side. Will the pressure be to much?
5.George Bailey: Will be looking for a much better season than last year if he wants to be a regular in the XI. Usually reliable but last season was awful for him.
6.Cameron Borgas: The big-hitting South Australian comes to Tasmania looking for a big break. He needs to step-up if he wants to be a regular in the side.
7.Rana Naved-Ul-Hasan: A brilliant death bowler will be looking for most success like last year where he averaged 20 with the bowl. But he'll be pushed for his spot with Freedie Flintoff just behind him.
8. Shane Warne: Arguable the greatest bowler of all-time. He'll be going into his second year as captain of Hobart and will be looking to find some of his old magic.
9.Xavier Doherty: Part of a brilliant spin combo for the Heroes. The young Tasmanian will be looking to go a step further than last year for his home team.
10.James Anderson: The pace bowler from England is looking forward to a regular spot in the side unlike last year. He will be looking to perform to really cement his spot.
11.Gerald Denton: The old fast bowler is a consistent performe. The only question is whether he can be able to be competitive at International standard.
