APL Chairman Biggy has stated that although the Pre-season is almost upon us he is yet to confirm the second season fixtures. "We are seriously considering shortening the regular season in order for a longer finals series. It just felt like we built it up slowly for a far too quick climax We will be taking all suggestions into consideration." The latest news has been suggesting that he will go for a reduced rounds season with a top 8 finals series.

In other news, Under-19 World Cup winning squad member Alex Keath has signed a contract spanning several years with the Victorian Bushrangers. Keath has also shown interest in a possible APL contract.

Ooh, didn't see this post :/ And I thought I'd caught Biggy unaware.

@Biggy: Can I ask you that could I please trade one of my guys for Steven Cazzulino, Tasmanian new recruit?

I need proof that Tassie signed him first, and who for?

Also, should have some fixtures up tomorrow, and got 5 teams to enter in the sim.

Ok,Chris Gayle is up for grabs and i'm looking for a bowler/bowling allrounder :)

How about for Mills/Asif?

Melbourne Mayhem have just traded Chris Gayle for Shahid Afridi.
Akshay will confirm this when he's online.

Oh you have done this, either way, I wouldnt mind trading Afridi for Mills/Asif?

Just to clear things out, I am looking for a quality Domestic or International all-rounder. Kindly notify if you can provide. Likely International trade option is Mills/Asif or for domestic you may even be lucky and get Hussey!

I was wondering the other day, hasn't there already been like APL 1 and 2, and then you tried to expand to include NZ teams as well?

1. Graeme Smith (c)
2. Chris Rogers
3. Kevin Pietersen
4. Brad Haddin (+)
5. Luke Pomersbach
6. Jacob Oram ^
7. James Hopes ^
8. Stuart Broad ^
9. Ben Cutting ^
10. Ben Hilfenhaus ^
11. Doug Bollinger ^

Wow I love my team. Look at that depth with the ball. Hilfenhaus, Bollinger, Hopes and young exciting quick bowler Ben Cutting from the Aussies and then Broad and Oram as my international bowlers... with Mendis on the bench! Simply amazing that depth, and if Oram or Broad isn't performing then Mendis is straight into the team which is fantastic to see. My batting might need a fraction more depth, but Graeme Smith and Chris Rogers is a fantastic batting combination and with KP at 3, there could be some big scores. Smith was legendary in the TTPL but that never finished... unfortunately, as he was averaging near 100 from about 10 games including pre season.

Brad Haddin and Luke Pomersbach are in the middle order, and then I have a plethora of all-rounders in Oram, Hopes and Broad, so I bat down to 8 which is good to see - and then Cutting at 9 averages just under 20 in FC, so I suppose I actually do bat down to 9. Hopefully I won't be needing them but in a late run chase they could be the difference.

Looking forward to a huge season here.
