i play in the nets with a frien or two and i make it possible to score runs of the sides as well as straight down the ground. i got a little too good for my friend so we decided to work as ateam to reach a total but even that turned into a competition coz neither of us wanted the other to get higher individual scores. it was really hard to even get 50's. none of us got a 100.
i still remember my 1st fifty. it was funny, my friend had 3 50's before i did but after than i got a 50 almost every time with at least one of my players. and he got only a couple and lots of ducks. top score 87 by me

I play in my garden, well it won't happen much longer as we are getting an extension but oh well. You run-up down the side of the house and then there is a wall on the off-side for the right hander, and that is four, and there is also four straight down the ground and six if you hit the shed. Love playing it, pretty even match with the bat and ball, boundaries are short, but with a tennis ball it gets a lot of bounce on tarmac, so pretty hard to play the short ball.

Scored the first hundred with three people playing there has been last week lol. So yeah, it is a good laugh...

Tiles, a hard, bouny ball, short area, short kids, and lots of fielders makes for easy picking

I got 14 runs in a game of street cricket, plus 4 wickets out of 6 because of limited players. I run just like a Pakistani, Walk half the way, jog the other half. When you know its only one run, why sprint it? Save energy.

i play in my back garden with my brother and his friend, its from about 10 yeafrds with a tennis ball. You throw ut as hard as you can BUT for the first 6 you have to bowl spin. There is a back wall/window door big thing and that is 20

You get 30 from hitting the crazy catch(late cut reverse sweep position) you get four if you miss and it goes into the plants

You can be caught of the crazyy catch snd normally will be casguht
you are out if you hit into the plants in front of square on teh off of leg or if you hit into the pool

I am the best batter and on one sunday had 12 50's and only 1 century
my brother got 3 50;'s and his friend 7

It was hard to get over 50 because wen the pace came ono you had to reverse sweep or late cut it but its great fun

We have a balcony and my little brother sits there and wen u get 50 you go mental and stick the bat all over the place and wave at the balcony.,

just a fun joking game we spend hours on sundays playing.

We do little training sessions at my mates house, perfect length of garden for a match situation and great slip catch practice.

Good backyard cricket times.
Hit the side walls its 4. If you nick it and it hits the back wall your caught by the keeper.

Mainly my dad just bowls to me now and i just bat. No runs or anything. Lol.

My mates had an ingenious idea about 4 years ago whilst i was on holiday, when i got back i was pleasently suprised, we have a field at the back of our gardens, so they put a biggish sheet of plastic down on the grass and put concrete flags on top so the grass died, and it kept flat, when i was removed we had a brownish area to play on, its a bit uneven so its more challanging, but we spray paint markings and stuff now and again and its top fun - although i think we need to move sometime, when spinning it moves like a bitch now in areas its just dust.

We through corky's across a trampoline, acting it like a cradle used for slip catching. Slide the ball along the trampoline and its bloody good

Every break time at school we play "urban cricket" with two mini autograph bats and a tennis ball. A bin is the wicket and we play one-hand-one-bounce rules. If a bowler takes a wicket, then he is the next batsman, or if a catch is taken the catcher is the next batsman. Whoever gets the ball has a bowl for one ball - immensely enjoyable and we have literally played it for the whole of 2 years now every break...

played a textbook cover drive with a windball only for it to go under the fence and never see it again...

where do you get nets from?, i want one!, im prepared to pay up to 60 qiud or so....
