Story Bangladesh Begin Blissful Age [India In Bangladesh]

Nice comeback! This is one of the few ICC stories I can be bothered reading, I reckon it's pure quality...
I think India will get away to a reasonable start but then Sunny an co. will tighten up and frustrate India- as for Bangladesh's batting, they could do anything from chasing down 350 to getting rolled for 100. But I do think Bangladesh will win this

I've come to a bit of an annoyance. I had wrritten the complete innings out for Bangladesh's batting attempt and when I was editing all the fonts and such I pressed the undo button and even pressing the redo button a few hundred times wouldn't bring it back. I'm not sure what i'm going to do yet but I'm a litte pissed off so not sure of an update today. Sorry.

This happened to me so many times when I was making stories and everytime it happened, I ended up asking you to close the thread :p

Ha I don't blame you to be honest, it is very disheartening.

I don't think I'll be able to do the same update as in the past, just for this innings, as it just wouldn't be the same and incredibly tricky to write. I might just had to write an innings report(like in match report).

Great update mate, i``ve been reading this story alot and has always been a massive fan, i like the long and detailed write-ups, and the presentation is superb, well done mate. I`m glad that you decided to bring this story back.

:clap:clap

Don't worry about it mate. I've had that happened, ████ me so bad. You could just do a write up like you do with your story with treva for this innings.

Great to see this back - one of my all time favourite storys.

Thats what copy and paste is for. :p

I always put my updates in a notepad document before posting. Too many times I've tried to post an update and somethings happened... Like Planet Cricket crashing or something. :(

Cheers, guys. I was going to stop this story to start my other new one but I'll try and do them both at the same time. Should be fun... ;)

And good idea, Matt, but I'm not completely sure what you mean. :p

EDIT: Aye, this has happened quite a few times and I always say I'll do it in wordpad or whatever instead but I never do. Quite annoying. :(

Instead of writing it all again you could just write an innings summary like you do in your story with Treva

Ah I get ya a little bit now, but in that story I do that for match reports? Or do you mean like when i do an update on a Test match and do quite a big update for that story, just do an update like one of the innings in that update?

Kinda? :p

All I mean is that if you cbf re-writing that innings that you wrote up before losing it then just do something simple like writing the scorecard and a few comments. Just like a match report like you said I guess.

Okay, got you a little bit more now and thats what I will end up doing no doubt. :)

Expect an update today or tomorrow.

Shortened update for the reasons mentioned earlier.

Lol-tastic Batting

Bangladesh went into the last One Day International with no pressure whatsoever on their shoulders, unlike their counterparts. India had lost the first two ODIs and had been ridiculed by the world. They even failed to win the Test series against Bangladesh. As the Tigers have no pressure and can play freely, could they do an upset and whitewash India? Or are India so focused that Bangladesh are going to get crushed to smithereens.

Shahriar Nafees and Rahim opened the innings for Bangladesh but couldn't get a firm grip on the match with their opening stand. With the score on 18, Mushfiqur Rahim played all around a straight ball from Trivedi to be out for 5. Nafees and Bangladesh managed to put on 28 together to get the score up to 46/1 but it was quickly made 46/2. Nafees was instrumental in our first One Day International victory this series but failed to make double figures in the second. He made double figures this time, but got out in his attempt to convert his start into a half century.

Mohammad Ashraful was out the next over and Habibul Bashar didn't wait around long as he soon joined him after. Ashraful faced only five deliveries, managing 5 runs with a thick edge going all the way, and has put doubt into the selectors mind by giving away his wicket to Singh. Bashar was outsmarted by some brilliant bowling by Sharma as Dravid held on to the catch. 18 off 34 would be decent for a lower order batsman perhaps but not for the team's catalyst.

Naeem Islam and Faisal Hossain put on 20 together after their partnership started with the score on 53/4. It was a terrid start for Bangladesh but they were picking it up ever so slightly. They needed a big partnership but that didn't materialise as Hossain fell to be Maniar's only victim. A delivery that seamed away from him clipped offstump and sent him packing. 11 runs off 23 balls... Double figures, I guess.

Rashid came in and only made 9 runs but he supported Islam perfectly as they collected 39 runs together. Kumble took advantage of the bowlers weak front foot and capitalised by kocking the bails off in immense fashion. 112/6 was definitely not a very good position for Bangladesh and Sir Ian Botham to be in but at least they already had the series wrapped up. Arafat Sunny came and went as Kumble picked up his second wicket in two balls. Sunny attempted a sweep shot but missed the ball quite comprehensively and was found lbw. 112/7 now, even worse.

Ahsanullah Hasan was rather decent with the bat in the Test series, amassing 100 runs, and continued his form. He made a sturdy unbeaten 16* off 35 balls but unfortunately, Islam couldn't last at the other end. He fell just short of his half century and just short of the 50 over mark. Islam came into the match with a niggling injury and his stamina was depleted like an insane Polish worker admitted to a lunatic asylum. It wasn't good in other words. He still managed 47 runs off 91 balls with four boundaries and was our best batsman by far. He is our future.

Al-zabir came to bat and made a quick 3* off 6 balls as our innnings was brought to an end. A disastrous attempt at making runs was what had happened, taking all by surprise. We had no pressure, but we didn't expect to crumble under the Indian's bowler which we had withstood till now. 144/8 is almost impossible to defend against such an esteemed batting lineup. India have this in the bag. Then again if there is spin in this wicket, perhaps Sunny and Hasan could pull of the remarkable? Surely not...

End of Innings - Bangladesh 144/8

Not a good total posted by Bangla. India will win this one for sure.

Anyways Nice Update KUTGW.
