Story Bangladesh: From Minnows to Tigers! (End of England tour)

I would just recommend one thing inparticular. A different font. Doesn't have to be a different colour but a different font is needed.

But yeah, I'm with JC on most of that stuff. Not really any stories have an actual storyline anymore. It's tough to implement, I think I did it pretty well in my Australian story although I think I did it a bit too regularly but mainly only the player diaries have an actual story to it. But yeah, add some storyline to it if possible.

A load of thanks to User2010, who is really going to help me take this story to the next level. A lot of credit goes his way for making great graphics in little to no time at all. Together, we'll make the Tigers roar!

Fabulous work there by User2010 and you are running this league story absolutely great, Qpee :thumbs

FIRST WARM-UP MATCH - BANGLADESH VS. WARWICKSHIRE
Bangladesh comprehensively crush woeful Warwickshire

Bangladesh opted to go into the match with their four seamers and with Hossain behind the stumps. They lost the toss and were put into the field. Saleh attacked right from the outset and his opening bowlers, Mahmud and Aziz, tore into Warwickshire?s top order, removing the first 3 wickets cheaply in the first hour of play. Roy and Sharif came on first change and Roy got the next wicket, but Sharif was the one who outperformed all of his colleagues, snatching 4 quick wickets to leave the home team reeling at 44 for 8 by lunch. It took very little time after lunch for the final two wickets to fall and Warwickshire were all out for just 47.

Nafees fell early on in Bangladesh?s reply but Mahmadullah and Tamim took the visitors into the lead before tea. They lost two wickets in two balls right on the stroke of the break, first Mahmadullah and then captain Saleh falling to the left arm orthodox, Best. Shakib and Tamim steadied things after tea, ensuring that no further wickets fell by sharing an unbeaten 151 run stand to take Bangladesh to the end of the first day. That partnership saw Tamim getting to a century and Shakib ending the day unbeaten on 81.

It was more of the same on the second day. Shakib got his century and made his way to a 168-ball 137 before he was out, finally breaking a 255-run stand between himself and Tamim. The latter man himself passed the 150 mark before falling to Best. Hossain made 10 runs before he was out but Hom looked solid as he made his way to 30-odd by lunch. He was unfortunately out for 49 after lunch. The tail was just out there to have fun by that time and they did not hang around. Eventually Bangladesh were all out for 412, a lead of 365.

Shakib Al Hasan shared a 250+ run partnership with Tamim Iqbal

Mahmud took the first Warwickshire wicket and for a moment it seemed like it would be a repeat of the first innings, but the 2nd wicket pair hung in there and ensured that they were still in the middle by tea. Roy was the one to break the partnership after tea before Shakib came into the attack and promptly took his first wicket. By the end of the 2nd day, Warwickshire were 112 for 3.

Things were a little harder for the bowlers on the last day but Mahmadullah also found himself among the wickets when he had two batsmen out before lunch. The new ball was soon due and Sharif took full advantage of the harder swinging ball to take 3 wickets soon after lunch. With the tail exposed, it was only a matter of time before the final few wickets fell and Bangladesh had won convincingly within the three days.

Big credit to User2010 for the awesome banner. Not something I could have done myself, and I'm happy to have him as part of this story.

Comprehensive victory for the Bangladeshis there. The front-line bowlers were great on the first morning and from there Bangladesh's two senior batsman batted Warwickshire out of contention. County sides often give good test sides a testing start to the tour so really good signs for the tourists from the start!

Who's the next warm-up game against?

Yeah, go the Tigers! Qpee, when doing the actual tour matches I hope you know what to do. ;)

SECOND WARM-UP MATCH - BANGLADESH VS. MCC
Tigers in good show against MCC XI

Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl first. It did not take long before the first wicket fell, Tareq Aziz taking a good return catch from his bowling. Mahmud added another wicket a few overs later. But the MCC team recovered well after the early double strike to go to lunch at 95 for 2. Aziz bowled an aggressive spell after lunch and got himself another couple of wickets. Mahmadullah also settled into a good spell and he got among the wickets as well. MCC went to tea at 212 for 7. After tea MCC built some partnerships but once the new ball was due, Mahmud tore through the lower order to leave the team all out for 286.

Bangladesh had just a few overs to go before the day ended but they ended up losing Tamim for 21 only a few minutes before the close of play.

Mahmadullah and Nafees shared a 118-run partnership to frustrate the bowlers on the second day but Mahmadullah eventually fell 2 short of his fifty. Nafees was out right after the lunch break but Naeem Islam and captain Saleh looked comfortable at the crease. Islam made 60 runs in another century-plus partnership before he was out after tea. Saleh continued and went past his own century. Bangladesh were 425 for 4 at the end of the second day.

Saleh went past 150 early on the third day but the fall of a few quick wickets saw the visitors declaring at 504 for 8. They took a long time before getting their first wicket, but Sharif quickly got three almost at once. At the other end he was helped by Mahmadullah who got himself two as well. Only 7 wickets fell before the match was over but Bangladesh would have been fairly happy with their performance, especially their batting.

Mahmadullah performed well with both bat and ball

The ever-present credit to User2010 for the banner. The first Test match begins soon and after some good cricket by the Bangladeshis, England had better watch out!

Sad to hear that mate, my hopes are with you and your family.

I can see a clear improvement in the presentation. It's great to see you trying to improve the presentation of this story. Do let me know, if you need any help from me. I'm obviously not better in graphics than User but I'd try to help you out as much as I can. :)

Aditya, send me a PM with what you think you can offer to add to the story. I'll check it out when I get the chance and let you know what I think.

Thanks for the support, guys. We're coping in the real world but of course it will take some time.
