Manchester United 5 - 1 Everton

Manchester United hosted Everton today in a game they were hoping to come out of with 3 points...thats what ended up happening as the blues went down 5-1 at Old Trafford. Goals to Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez, Scholes and Carrick ensured a victory. They worked as team out there and it was a team effort. Everton were just not good enough today, their only goal coming from a mistake from Patrice Evra - Andy Johnson able to wrong foot the keeper and hit in the back of the net.

Player Ratings:

Manchester United

Kuszczak 7 - Had a great day in front of goals, conceded one goal that no keeper would of saved.

Neville 7 - Neville was useful on the right, continuosly linking up with Nani in some good attacking play.

Ferdinand 8 - Was ever so solid, he and Vidic made sure no Everton striker could get a clean strike on goal.

Vidic 8 - Like Ferdinand, had a fantastic game down back.

Evra 6 - Coming back from a 2 week absence and it showed, costed United a goal early with his poor header in defence.

Nani 6 - Made some good runs, was influential early.

Anderson 9 - Was absolutely fantastic, worked hard deep in the midfield but also pushed forward and had a hand in 2 goals.

Carrick 8 - Scored a blinder thanks to an Anderson through ball, he closed down Cahill well.

Ronaldo 7 - Wasn't at his best, but still able to blast home a goal.

Tevez 7 - Scored a great goal after half time, set up Scholes' goal also, solid game.

Rooney 7 - Solild as well, great skill to score the opener.

Everton

Wessels 4 - Had an absolute shocker in front of goal, the less said about his performance, the better.

Lescott 6 - Did relatively well in shutting down Ronaldo on the left.

Yobo 5 - Was constantly beaten by Tevez, just couldnt contain the Argentinian.

Hibbert 5 - Like Yobo, just couldn't keep hold of Rooney deep in defence.

Nuno Valente 6 - Did OK against Nani, was good in making some good attackin runs.

Arteta 8 - Was Everton's best, had many chances on goal however, probably should of put one of them in the net.

Cahill 6 - Was blanketed by Carrick, went real quite at times.

McFadden 5 - Just couldn't get into the game and was beaten on the day by Anderson.

Pienaar 4 - Shocking match, didn't even know he was on the pitch at times, will be not looking forward to training this week,

Yakubu 5 - Had a few shots on goal that on his day may have resulted in goals.

Johnson 6 - Tried hard, took his chance when it presented itself.

Goal Highlights

NOTE: Tevez's goal didnt work in the main clip, so his goal is seperate below.

Very small and pedantic comment, but the thread title should be Barclays not Barclay's as it is sponsored by Barclays Bank and not the property of Barclay.

You can tell PES isn't realistic! Man U would of never beaten Everton and, 5-1, that is unheard of.
