Batting, and the shot selection radar...

Well, I have recently downloaded the demo and find it to be quite good. A bit of improvement on the last game and it looks like it will be a near perfect game. One thing that does annoy me though is the new shot selection radar. This unfortunately gives the feeling of a premeditated shot and without some luck you may not be able to hit the ball where you really want to.

My main question is: is this a feature in the new game that is always on? Can you turn it off? And is it possible to choose a shot without the radar?

Dont get me wrong, it's a decent idea and with a bit of work could be very good, but it's just a litttle frustrating at the moment. I would hope that eventually this would become a timing helper rather than shot selection. For example if you hit the ball where you've placed the radar you've got more chance of middling it, but if it's not in an appropriate place you will need to choose a different shot...

What do you think??

For a start you can turn the radar off. Also, if you turn off the bowler aiming marker thingy, you won't premeditate shots as you won't know where the ball is going to bounce.

I don't know what you mean about it being a timing helper and all that. You say "if you hit the ball where you've placed the radar you've got more chance of middling it" but the ball goes where you place the radar...

btw anyone having the problem of not being able to bat in 360 deg while using a the analog stick in logitech controller. i can just move the radar in 8 different directions. can anyone help me? i have the logitech software and i have turned sensitivity and range to 100% and deadzone to 0%. but it still did not help.

I've tried to bat with arrow keys and it doesn't seem to work....

Anyone with mouse-sensitivity issues ? Its very difficult to accurately select a zone for placing your strokes using a mouse! It kindof jumps from one location to other! Well i have been too lazy to check by changing the system mouse-senstivity settings! Will give it a go but what i wanted to know is whether anyone finds it difficult to select a zone accurately using Mouse!

There should be a button on your controller that says "mode". If the light is on, then that is your problem. Try it with the red light off.

I've been using the mouse and playing fine, it took a few goes to get used to placing the shots but now it's great :)
